I'm really struggling to keep up at the moment so would appreciate a hand in spending a voucher for £12 off a £60 spend in Sainsburys (in store only by 5th May).

I also have just under £19 worth of Nectar points that can be doubled up and am not sure whether I can combine the two vouchers.

Are there any Sainsburys bargains around at the moment?

You can but you can only double up in increments of £5 so you have £15 to double up

Have you done all you can to boost your points to the £20 mark? Firstgroup? Bingo? Adpoints? Nectar toolbar? Etc

ooh, I might try that. I finally found chapatti in my store today. 1 of them :(

Wow, that's still going? Did you use that yeast that lives at a higher alc content (don't know what it's called)?

Me and dh were having a chuckle earlier. This advert came on for a wheeled toy for kids. When the voice advertised it's name, we both looked at each other thinking 'they can't call it that, it's for children'. At the end it showed the name on screen

    It's called 'Y-Flicker'

    :rotfl:

Nope - no strange yeast or anything. I don't think he quite mixed in the sugar as there is a gathering of stuff underneath that looks suspiciously like sugar, he claims it is not. It is only just going, but there are still bubbles appearing on top and it is still popping away. I dread to think what it is going to be like :eek:

    Ooops, morning all :D

    Happy birthday its a secret 66 smileyvault-cute-big-smiley-static-012.gif

Foggy here but the sun is trying to break through.

I've decided not to use my nectar points in the double up. I am going to continue saving them, doing adpoints etc, and hoping to get a lawn mower from them when people start doing half price ones :D

    Good Morning all

Happy birthday to itsasecret66 Have a great day.

I booked train travel for DH. He has a funeral on 16 May !!!! I thought the prices were good and didn't know it was a sale . Thanks to the op who posted for others-£24 return to birmingham :j

I read with amazement (and envy) how some of you get to use the MOC's. In my a's I am always treated like a fraudster but always very nicely and I never break the T&C because of this T's no better.

I'm off to work shortly but will catch you all the lunchtime..

That is really scary for future generations. :(

I know before I got a mortgage we splashed out on big holiday etc etc before being tied down with debts, how would that look on a bank statement.

I feel really sorry for those trying to get a foot on the property ladder.

I am glad I don't have the worry ever again. :o

Its given me a few thoughts regarding my eldest and her BF. He works for a firm that pays his car expenses at the end of each month. We encouraged eldest child to get him to apply for a separate credit card to put these expenses on so that this money is not going in and out of his ordinary bank account. Then at the end of the month when the expenses and bonus come in he can pay this works expenses credit card bill off in one lump. Otherwise some future mortgage lender would look at his bank statements and ask why his business and personal expenses are mixed on the same account.
I think its a case of making youngsters think long term, that the decisions they make now reflect on their ability to get mortgages in the years to come.
Getting a set of bank and credit card statements for 12 months that has only got the normal run of money coming in and going out is going to be a very tough one.
