Well, i gritted my teeth and phoned them... To their credit I was only on hold a couple of minutes (and I was settled in for a wait) but they can't understand why my Gas account aint showing! The adviser will send an email to the tech people (blah, blah) to rectify the problem, should only take a couple of days!
I am opening a book on the outcome however, can't give good odds on the situation being rectified without me having to contact them again - sorry!0 -
Does anyone have any idea what the cumulative consumption is on the usage chart, the average consumption seems to be Kwh which is fair enough, but no idea what the average is, average of what?
Cummulative basically adds it up each day to a total at the end of the billing period I suppose (Day 1 = 20 KWH, Day 2 (assuming same usage) = 40KHW and so on). You can work out the average - just divide the total by how many days eg 40/ 2 = 20 KWH per day. I should use BG in my lessons - this is all GCSE Math's.
Just remember 1 unit is equal to 1 KWH and a KWH is 1000 watts used in 1 hour. A watt is 1 joule per second.'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' : Member number 632

Could you be anymore patronising?
It doesnt seem to calculate correctly at all to me, GCSE maths it isnt.
Let me give you an example from my account:
My consumption from the last month was 195 units. The average consumption is 0.28khw (around ~6.5 per day roughly which is about right, although you have to calculate this, it used to be displayed on clickenergy.co.uk). The cumulative consumption is 1.38khw, where does that figure come from?
The period measured was 30 days.0 -

So long as you remember that a unit isn't a kWH for gas and there's some more maths there for your class to get to that step.0 -
Any MSE'rs who live with their partner and have both gas and electricity, and have their accounts in both names (e.g. Mr J Smith and Miss J. Jones) are in for a real treat when this system goes fully functional.
I've just had a conversation with one of the on-line reps and apparently the gas and electric accounts on this new system are set up differently. I won't go into details, (mainly because I couldn't make head nor tail of half of what he said), but I can now only see my gas on-line and they have reverted my electric bill back to a paper bill.
Time to switch, I think.

Edit: Forgot to add that I also had the email with my full password showing, and I have someone else's meter reading at the bottom of my bills. The front page of my account shows me having a zero balance, when I actually am in credit over 100 pounds. What a mess!!Last ciggie - 28/01/2012

I just rang BG (on the geographical number) ( no 0845 numbers for me) and explained that I couldn't access the house website. He explained that the site had moved and I should have had an email about it which he promptly sent. All ok now and my password wasn't shown in full on the email, just the first and last letter, and all the rest were zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's0

Having now looked on the site and at my accounts, the figures are still all wrong!0
-
VAT now says 5% on mine, and not 7% as before, but still no Gas account showing... Have now sent a message throught their on-line message service - lets see if that sorts the issue!
I wonder if they have to check, and ammend, everybodys accounts individually for the errors? Now, that would be a job!0 -

I finally managed to get access to my electricity bill, and wait for it... EVERY figure on the bill is wrong, nothing adds up at all. Check it out!!

I challenge all MSEs to get these figures to add up, any column you want.
And... just like my gas bills, I have an unknown gas meter reading at the bottom of this bill, too.
What a bunch of maroons!!! Telephone riot coming up tomorrow. :rotfl:
