  • few properties, going up in price. Im in a 3 bed and all the 4 beds are now rocketing up much to our annoyance. None of them are that much bigger than our 3 bed either so its just not worth it for us. We'll stay put.

The only place thats been up on my street sold in 4 days! Dunno how much for yet, takes some time to get into the land reg db!

Its nice to read sites like housepricecrash.com and their crazy stories of global housing market collapse, but unfortunately prices just keep going up! By the time it happens I'll have had my kids and looking at retirement ;)!

Although there is always the option of "emigrating" from London! Head up Norf or summin...

It also seems that the pre £250k bracket is moving rapidly where-as the over £250k is sticking.

    Is that your experience?

It's also worth mentioning your location in the replies.

London seems to have a different set of rules to elsewhere.

I think this is true - prices in London have been going up recently. There are some ridiculous asking prices round my way - people are asking +20% on last years Land Reg figures! IMO they might acheive +5%.

Flats outside London seem to be on the way back down.

Flats near me are decreasing in value quite significantly. Houses are really not moving one way or the other

Dont bet on Londons heady microclimate.

On my road and surrounds there have been period 2 bed flats up for sale, for months adn they are sticking. Starting at 235, prices have dropped. Id say theyve been there for a few months now. One has been rented out in desperation.

Plenty of flats in surrounding roads sticking, large family houses 4+ bed you can "still" get round my way for 450 , these seem to be moving quite quickly. ( ie weeks not months)

    Upper Leytonstone, E11.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...

We are in Sunderland - apartments are losing value

Looking to move to Whitley Bay - prices here (for 3/4 bed semi) are holding their own. There seems to be a good turnover of houses too.

I live in leeds and there have been so many city centre flat built that some people owe more on mortgage than the place is worth, despite having a 5% deposit paid for them on completion.

my parents live in south birmingham and houses aren't really selling well near them. There's price drop after price drop in their road and nearby.

Early last year one house in their road sold for £210 k. The one next door (which isn't all that different in size and condition) went up for sale about 6 months ago for 190k, it has just sold after being dropped to about 170k. A couple of other houses have been taken off the market because they cant even sell for what the owners paid for them 18 months ago.

    Hi

I live in East London (stratford) and the prices still seem to be quite high. i mmoving out towards seven kings which is a little cheaper for me to buy. It just seems to me that Lonodn is in a microclimate and i see no evidence of it crashing. My dad lives in Leeds and he says that properties have started to come down in price!
