I've just come back from a run tonight, and it had gone from soggy to splashy. I love a bit of drizzle for running in but not so keen on wet socks.Saving for deposit: Finished! :j

Drizzle is fine and it does help cool me down. Not too keen on soggy socks.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I didn't get out yesterday in the end but have got into university early today so I can leave early and get out
then Sunday as usual will be my long run day. Hoping to run 8k, which doesn't sound like much but trying to build it up slowly and surely. My longest so far is 6.8k but I also ran 6k on Tuesday, so will go out for a short 5k today.

Still unsure what to do tomorrow. Did intervals yesterday, which I have to say is harder than just running! I have a 10 mile race next Sunday and don't want to overdo it.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Just had to share - got PB's all over today
Best cooper, 1k, 1m, 3k, 3m, 5k and 10k! Managed to knock 2 mins 43 secs off and broke the 1 hour! :j :j :j

Just spotted this thread - now 40, married, 3 kids, started running four years ago with a couch-to-5k although was a reasonably fit cyclist at the time so kept getting injured - aerobic fitness was good, but body wasn't used to the impact of running - ran my first 10k two years ago, first half-marathon and marathon last year (just sub-4 hours), and did my second marathon just under a month ago (Brighton) - finished in 3hrs 32 mins which I was quite happy with.
And dead chuffed today because I put in a 20m 55s 5k this morning, been trying to beat my old PB of 22m 20s for three years now and seriously thought I could never do it, haven't been able to get sub-23 in two years. Then today, bang. Went out, felt great, did first kilometre in 4:09 and held 4:11/km pace for the 5k. All those Marathon miles paying off, I guess.0 -
Urgh. Managed about 600 meters this morning before my ankle decided it was going to play up. I have a 10 miler next week; so have to be careful in training.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Well done!
Did you really run 6 races, at 1k, 1m, 3k, 3m, 5k and 10k today or am I missing something? Impressive, however it happened!Saving for deposit: Finished! :j
