I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I speak as someone who has defied medicine regarding this area so I'll tell you what can sometimes work for me:
Lentils - they can really get you moving.
Prunes/plums.
Epsom salts - not good if you have problems with blood sugar levels
Greasy food - can sometimes really get things shifting. Doesn't work for everyone.
Coffee.
Foods containing sorbitol really get some people moving.
Spicy foods. - all the better if they've got lentils in too (e.g. dhal.)
Oats/oat bran - I wouldn't use any other form of bran as it can really irritate the stomach. Oat bran is more gentle.
Linseed/flaxseed
Also check with your doctor to see if you can take a probiotic with your medication. Some drugs can really irritate the stomach e.g. antibiotics and a good probiotic can help maintain good gut flora. I take one every day for various reasons.4.30: conduct pigeon orchestra...0 -
