He had a big scratch under his chin as well as the neck bites

I think he's maintaining his old territory and has his new one

You are very lucky. The ring especially is exquisite.
The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best

We didn't watch the secret life of pets we had a cuddle instead.

Pickle is being verrrry demanding as turkey is delicious, tomcat (who has never liked leftovers previously, I think he associates hem with being a stray) loves this turkey.
Tigerbabies loves turkey and LB loves turkey, she also seems to really like one of my new perfumes as she was all over my arms that had it on.

Boo and Froo obviously love turkey and we still have loads left lol. It may have been more than we usually spend but think we will get it again next year as it was easy to cook, stayed moist and is a hit with everyone.

Kittens are out, scrawny one has already tried to break in 3 times and pickle has seen him off.

    We are 'wizard-ed up'. :rotfl:

We've watched the first 3 Harry Potter films on TV (seen them before but ages ago) and have started The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogies.
I bought them on blu-ray for OH for Christmas (he was a big fan of the Tolkien books back in the day) and they're so much better sound-wise. They are also the extended editions.

I love the song at the end of The Hobbit - Battle of the Five Armies:

It has clips from all 6 films mixed in together plus clips of the cast.

Tiger was just a purring dribbling mess lol

OH thought my ed appointment was today (to be fair so did I for most of yesterday) so came in to get me, this meant tiger babies had both people together and everything.

He was wandering from lap to lap lol.
OH said about boo curled up under my chin having a big love looking cute and grring at him when he opened the door (boo is OHS dog, worships him)

Because I got myself a fire I have the amazon book prime which is £7.99 unlimited books. It's ace.

Kittens were out all night in the frost poor things.

Had a bit of a scare here.
Central heating switches on at 07:30.
    07:45 all went quiet.
    No lights on at all.
Looked out of the window, no lights in any of the neighbouring houses, saw someone with a torch.
Our oven & hob are electric.

Luckily, it came back on after about 45 minutes.
    Update to this:
we think the electricity company have been messing about with the supply over Christmas.

Our shower was cold on Christmas Day morning, we didn't think too much about this as it's getting on a bit and we just thought it was on its way out.

When we came to cook the Christmas dinner (I'm in charge of the meat and all roasties - potatoes, leek and parsnips - and yorkshire puds as we had beef, OH is in charge of the veg (which I prep) and gravy).
I'd had the meat in, then put the potatoes in for 30 minutes then added the leeks and parsnips.

Then put the puddings in. These take between 20 and 25 minutes in a hot oven (220 so I did 200 as ours is a fan oven).

Looked in the oven 15 minutes later, expecting to see the pudding well risen but nothing seemed to be happening.

At that temperature, the fat in both pans should have been spitting but it wasn't.
So we had to stall the veg and gravy.
I threw the puddings away and started again - luckily they were Aunt Bessies uncooked so didn't have to remake the batter.

20 minutes later, the oven seemed to kick back in to temperature and was working as normal.

The oven is not new so we thought it was telling us it had had enough and thought no more about it, although it was quite stressful.
Luckily, there was only the 2 of us, if we'd had a houseful I think I might have gone into meltdown.

The electricity went off again yesterday morning but only for a minute.

Yesterday evening, we used the microwave and OH said it wasn't working as well as it usually did. It's not old.

The lights in the dining room didn't seem as bright as they should have then they suddenly brightened.

And it clicked that all these random problems we'd been having could be not down to our appliances but outside the house.

    Shower is hot today.

    Kitchen floor mopped

Several throws and a waterproof cover washed (thanks Froo Froo)

    Tomcat is out again
    Pickle is out
    LB is out
Ty is cuddled up to OH on the bed, last seen with his head on OH chest snoring lol.

I think he may have been an old uns pet back in his early history as now he trusts us (still runs with carriers, washing, etc) he follows OH round and is a proper lap cat.

I have found some stuff to try ty on for his snotty nose so getting that Friday.
Another dog walk in a mo then shop and lie down mopping is tiring how did I manage to do that and work full time?
