excellent wee car, and good spec. renault have had their fair share of problems in the past, but over the past 4 years they've produced excellent cars. looks wise, there lovely, and the dynamique model is very well spec'd. you'll enjoy driving it.

Bought a Clio Dynamique MediaNav. Actually really like the car, just disappointing experience for a new car. Maybe my expectations were too high!

Apart from the mileage I wouldn't say your expections were unreasonable - and I suspect that you wouldn't have worried about the mileage if it wasn't for the other stuff?

I have bought 1 new car & it had 1 mile on the clock.

It was what I expected from a new car, it was built, transported, parked then sold to me. It had not been used for anything else.

I'm with the OP, it would have bothered me if my new car showed signs of being used.

    :)

When they 'sold it to you' I'm assuming you drove it first and saw it?

    Not necessarily.

Moreoften on a car like that you're buying off spec and based on a test drive of their demo.

Why would he have drove it? You go in to a showroom, order a new car with the options you want, place a deposit, the car is built to your spec (unless there's one in stock), then it's delivered some time later to the dealer and PDId ready for collection & final payment. Although I do question the 1 mile delivery mileage, the driving between factory, transporter and dealer is likely to be more than that, I wonder if it was just the trip reading.

It would have had more than that on it, just from being driven off the production line, into the storage compound, out of the storage compound onto the truck/train/boat, between truck/train/boat/another compound, into the workshop for the PDI, then on the PDI test drive, any moving around whilst in stock... If it was a special order, the mileage would likely be lower than if it was ex-stock.

If it really only had one mile on the clock, I'd put money on the speed sensor on the gearbox had been disconnected whilst it was being moved around.

No, I went in the showroom, advised them which car I wanted in which colour. How was I to know they had this car in stock

How long did you have to wait between order and delivery? If it'd been a factory order, they would have told you, and you'd have waited weeks or months. It might not have been in stock in that dealer - it might have been a stock transfer from another dealer (although you say the adhesive remains show your dealer's name and number?)

    Edited for accuracy.

    Oh look trolling again.
  • So you want a new car and go to the dealer. You see a car you like, sit in it, fiddle with the controls, decide you like it and decide to buy the car. You then complain that the car is not 'new' because it's been used as a display car and someone's fiddled with the controls.

Do you really mean that you've bought a car and you've now changed your mind and are desperately trying to get out of the deal.
