In your mind maybe, but the law of the land would disagree with you.
    Basic definition of theft.
(1)A person is guilty of theft if he dishonestly appropriates property belonging to another with the intention of permanently depriving the other of it; and “thief” and “steal” shall be construed accordingly.
(2)It is immaterial whether the appropriation is made with a view to gain, or is made for the thief’s own benefit.

I think a point could be made that this would be covered by Theft by Finding.

It is theft as they are aware it is not theirs by right, and they are intending to permanently deprive (if they do in fact keep or take it to a charity shop)

If I go home from my friends house and find I've picked up both her and my phone, (or indeed she gave me hers by accident) I haven't stole it.

If I then decide to keep it, I have.

I will send their customer services an email, I get most of my clothes from this store either online or instore. They can then advise me what to do without causing me further inconvenience.

This is what I would do as well.

The chances are they will tell you to keep it in the circumstance but at least then you have done the right thing.

It's only a little bit dishonest.

All the dodgy stuff that a lot of retailers do is perfectly fine though.

At least you are open about your lack of morals which can only be a good thing for people to know about when reading other posts that you respond to.

I think it's best to be honest, much better than most people who say the right things but will not necessarily do them.

I'm actually a very honest person but I really object to way that shops con us all the time. So if you get a little bit of pay back that's fine.

Anyway you lot carry on with your gang culture and all jump on my honesty. But please only do it if you can honestly say that you have never done anything wrong.

I'll let you off with motoring offences because we all break some laws there.
