The link to the factory shop is not bravissimo's factory shop. They are the manufacturer for many of the leading brands including Rigby and Peller. I was lucky enough to be treated to a Rigby and Peller fitting and bra last year and it was the best thing I have ever done. I'm quite a large busted lady and was dreading going in as thought I'd be told I was massively bigger than I was (already in denial about size because of the lack of choice in high street stores) However I went in thinking I was a 40DD and came out a 38E, not a tape measure in sight! They advised of the styles that would suit my shape and what I should look for. I went to the factory shop last weekend and bought 3 new bras for £35. The most expensive was £20 which is a Fantasie Bra and sells for £56 online. They have a huge selection for bigger busts as well in pretty and sexy styles not "german helmets" as a friend describes most of the high street offerings! Highly recommend the factory shop.
I said *supplier* - I remember the Rigby and Peller glee whoopy noises and £12 shreeks

I'm a 36F and I get my bras from www.simplyyours.co.uk. They are way cheaper than the hight street and I would echo about trying lots of different styles on. Although I am a F/G, in the Katie Price range none of her bras fit me which is bizarre (and a little disappointing as I love her and also love pink!!).

I also agree that once you find a brand, save for the odd one or 2, then you tend to find that the bras fit. I have a particular fave bra which make my melons look fab so I have it in all 4 colours (err...twice!!:o ) but at £24 for a pack of 2 I'm not grumbling!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Another vote for bravissimo here.

M&S measured me as a 38ff. went to Bravissimo and they fitted me with a 34H (no tape measures ) Result - I look slimmer and I have found my waist!
Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j

Just goes to show how different we all are doesn't it?

It's essential to get fitted by an expert & try lots on - worth every penny. The size I need varies depending on make/style. My tip just buy one new size/style at first, even after careful fitting, 'cos you only find out how it feels when you've had it on all day!

I find Fantasie Belle a good fit & Rigby & Peller nice but expensive. Every so often I send for a load of different ones from Figleaves & try them in the privacy of my bedroom. Their returns policy is good too! Figleaves site has customer reviews for the bras which are helpful once you know what size you are.

M & S were useless for me (& I've tried loads of theirs over the years)
Don't live near a Bravissimo or I'd try them.

MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to the Health and Beauty board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

We've already got a bra thread there so I'll find it and merge you in eventually!

Not that bizarre. Katie's bra size before she had the reduction was variously reported in the papers as a 34FF, 32G or similar. Now if that's what she was actually wearing, there's no way that it was the right size for her - as anybody who's had a decent fitting (at Rigby & Peller or Bravissimo or a good independent) will tell you. That girl is TINY in the back and (was) MASSIVE in the cup. I'd say 28J would have been nearer the mark.

If the same logic has been applied to the bras she's helped to design for other women to wear, it's not really surprising that they come up in odd shapes and sizes :)

woohoo, 30DD is now my official measurement, and it feels so much better than my last (32D) - i went into m&s, and the lady seemed very knowledgeable for a change, advised me to try all new bras on the middle fitting to allow for expansion or slimmage...great advice, i used to try all new bras on the tightest fitting for some reason
