Personally, I'm loving the Christmas potatoes story - it's very random, and is one of the longest posts on there... :rotfl:

This has got to be the best line ever

"was distraught thinking how is xmas without potatoes... "

How many of us have thought the same?

At least it wasn't a "we were so poor we couldn't afford potatoes... but I'd saved up my Tombola winnings to buy the turkey"... :D

I am also loving the Warburton rolls story especially the fact they phoned up to complain about how the bread was wrapped..

And why don't people at least try with the spellings and punctuation? I mean while spelt wile and I think they mean whilst...

It does make you think, I'll never take potatoes for granted again.

Actually why would you leave buying potatoes until the day before? It's not like they go off that quickly.

I find it all a bit nauseating. Not keen on Facebook comps and try not to do many as I am sure my friends would get annoyed with all the posts. I would also hate them to read creeping sob stories and sycophantic praise just so I might win a tin of dog food or something for my poor rescued dog who is misunderstood and may only have three legs.

Another thing that often ruffles my pink flamingo feathers is when you see a company post 'took me ages to write out the names of the 3250 entrants, then cut them out, put in a hat and draw a winner' Yeah right!? Even when they post a photo showing a strip of paper with a name scribbled on it, you just know they haven't done that! Even more annoying when the winner is local too! o much for random and no postage to pay! graphics-flamingo-317551.gif
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea

Someone put "been" instead of "being"... I don't mean to get all 'middle class' here, but... Yes, why do they not spend more time learning to spell rather than playing bingo?!

I am occasionally tempted to join a bingo site for the online chat, but this has convinced me otherwise. I'd have to keep correcting their English  :rotfl:

I don't think spelling things correctly is the preserve of the middle class but apart from that I agree. The standard of the English used amongst the bingo fraternity does appear to be of rather a low standard. You are much better off with us compers.

I think it might be a bit mean ripping into peoples stories, you never know they might be true and you could be being hurtful, the person regarding baby's headstone, not someone I like but someone, an mser, who has suffered a loss which must be so huge and awful.

Everyone comps in their own way who are we to judge?

I don't use them as I don't have the time as way too much to do on other comps than write a tale to each like and share.

The ivf thing well mock all you want but those people are going through their own personal hell, like I did with my ivf's to have my Jessica, every penny was scraped together, well £27,000 of them to have her.

Carry on mocking as you have been but maybe think of others that might be hurt by your fun.
