i agree

a saturated pasttime now - and everytime i see a 'new comper - need advice' topic my odds get even more stretched

soon it will be better odds to do the lottery

very true, although a candle here, a box of wipes there are hardly going to keep the interest going

it would halp if there were prizes worth winning

You and I have quite different comping mentalities: for me the smaller wins are what keep me tipping up here every day. Maybe I'm small-minded, but the little bits and pieces, along with the adrenaline of entering bigger prize comps, are more than enough to keep my interest going. :rotfl:

I do comment - and often quite nicely with a list of my stats versus theirs :eek:

I don't mind really, I guess, I just wish that Martin would think about publicising the fact that competitions are not easy cash, and that no one has a right to win at any point - the way he writes about them sometimes comes across as suggesting that the odds are strong, when, well, they're just not anymore, are they?! And, indeed never have been... :rotfl:

The ones that think this would be a great money earner or expect to win ipads and games consoles every few days will give up quickly i would imagine.

Sorry for bumping an old thread but I thought it better than starting a new one.

I'm getting annoyed by people not checking where comps are based before they enter & my news feed seems to be swamped with ROI, USA & Australian comps. Also people entering comps that have finished so my news feed is full of comps not even open. Can't people read? :cool:

Sorry for the rant but I feel better for getting it off my chest. :A
