  • Morningggggggggggggggggggg,

Cannot wait to get paid so I can work out how much more I can pay off towards this debt - Defo planning on it all being gone by the time Santa comes.

Hopefully my butt will be way smaller then too - yippeeeeeeee

:) Just about to have my breakfast shake today which is Mocha - yum in my tum. These shakes are soooooooooo tasty.

    Will pop back on laters.

    Bye

  • 1 day till payday.

I am having an internal brain battle with myself right now.

Debt total was (after a bit of a blip & spending loads) £3890.88. Once I get my payments processed through tomorrow this should be down to £2938.29 which is great but me being miss impatient pants wants this debt gone ASAP.

We will have from tomorrow £1000.00 savings for the hoose that we intend to buy in the next bazillion years & it feels great to look at that bank account & see it grow but I cant tell which will feel better - savings or less debt.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - I am gonna leave it a couple of weeks then see if this feeling passes.

I love having savings this is the first time EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Ok I think I am gonna just keep the savings & pay the debt over the next few months.

Haha see how I just totally talked myself round there.

    That was easy!!

Ideally I want the debt to be gone by Christmas but I have 0% on a CC until April 2015 so even if its runs into the New Year that will still be ok.

I would have loved to save £5000.00 this year but life happened & I know now that this is going to be impossible - Well maybe not if I win the lotto - fingers, toes, legs & eyes crossed that this happens.

Anyhoo I am on lunch in work. Have restarted my diet AGAIN on Tuesday so today is day 3 & its going good. Had a wee sneaky jump on the scales this morning & its not going down as quickly as I would like but hey ho at least its coming off.

Slow & steady seem to be the best wait with regards to the savings, debt & weight.

I'm off to see if I can find any patience.

    Will check back laters

    Byeeeeeeeeeee

  • Updateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Day 6 on the diet.

Meh, weekends are the worst time for me to stick to any plan food wise. I did better this weekend tho. Managed my 2 shakes for brekkie & lunch. Friday I had a chinese but chose a healthier option that I would usually. Saturday has pate & oatcakes as a starter. Soup & a roll for dinner. 4 giant marshmallows & a packet of crisps. Not the worst & I suppose its better to change habits bit by bit.

Debt wise I have paid off a total of £952.29 - Debt is now £2938.29. Getting there slowly but surely.

Hoose savings £1000.00 - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek I am so excited & happy about this.

  • Thanks Penguin.

    Trying my best.

Its just so hard isnt it.

The easiest option is always the worst for you.

It will be all worth it in the end I just keep trying to have the end result in sight all the time.

Does your house fund double as an emergency fund?

Do you stuggle with weekends (foodwise) because you don't have as much to do? Have you tried taking courses? You can get free ones through coursera, edx or degreed (the last one is more of a library of many providers' courses).
  • I suppose it would do yeah.

Never really had an emergency fund - That's what credit cards have been for LOL

However not that I am DFW this is no longer the case.

Its just trying to break the habits of takeaways & munchies with DVDs.

    I will get there.

Was really tempted to go for a KFC on my way home from work but came in & had my baked potato with beans.

Really enjoyed it & feel better knowing that I made the right choice.

Nothing more to update on the debt front.

Will be the end of the month before I can pay anymore of that off.

  • Grrrrrrrrrrrrr - those darn bathroom scales I have where given stupid readings.

The other day I stepped on them 3 times in a row & each time I was a different weight.

They are now in the bin.

Went to boots & got weighed. They print off a wee slip for you so will just do that every Friday morning.

My first weight is 16st 3lbs.

On the money side of things I have had to cancel 2 nights out this month due to having almost no money left cos I chose to pay my CC's instead.

    Go me!
