In my HHC I swept and washed the kitchen and bathroom floors, pegged out a load of washing and made a tadpole phone call. Not much, in other words. I have so much to do before I can get on that ferry tonight it's exhausting just thinking about it all. Onwards and upwards, as they say.Better is good enough.0

That's a fair bit, actually in half an hour!
I have run over slightly due to the offspring both NEEDING the toom I was cleaning, namely the bathroom, as it was minging. But's it's had a full clean. Towels are now in WM (won't run now though; that;s for later)and I have paired socks - quite a lot of the little strangers DS left here last time have now been reunited - I told DS to bring EVERY sock he could find home :rotfl:
I have also washed out the loo brush and holder - 'someone' has used the brush to unblock the loo so it was full of tissue. I think I know who - so the floor water was used to wash that. It's now drying outside, in the sun benefitting form the natural cleaning action of the sun, I hope!
re cleaning products - lots of us have our own faves - personally I always have store's own cream cleaner in the house as I find it excellent for lots of things. I use a gentler cleaner on the bath. And I have pet safe disinfectant in the house for cleaning the cat litter tray.

You're welcome.
Loo brush wasn't minging - just tissue clogged.
Got to nip out on an errand at 1:05. Flylady vibes for the Valligirl please.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Flylady vibes heading up country for Valli-girl.
Both loo brushes soaking, and I'll bleach them later and the sun has dried them first. Chicken carcass transferred to slow cooker for stock-making, kitchen put back to rights and dusted. The kitchen and the bathroom are always the dustiest in the house and I hadn't realised how bad they were. Hob and sink next, the oven can wait.Better is good enough.0 -

Just back from vol job - sixth week and not sure will manage to continue as it is a lot heavier work than I imagined and I am not allowed to do that for two separate health reasons. Might just have to give in and ask if I can sort clothes instead - but will wait until next week to decide.
Had lunch and will get another coffee then start at 2 when I've had a rest - feel about 90!!!
It will be a better day tomorrow.

DD is home, unpacked and in the bath. EVERYTHING is either getting washed or sprayed with linen spray as it STINKS of ancient stale smoke, reminded me of those dark pubs where you stuck to the floor/seats _pale_. Apparently according to DD the hotel room was 'minging' and ex wasn't impressed either. Otherwise she's has a fine time and has asked if we can go at some point. She hasn't stopped talking since she got back, imagine jeff dunhams' peanuts on a tanker truck of red bull and you'll get some idea of how hyper she is  We're going to have a 'lazy day' as she's been up since 5am (8pm bed planned if not before
), she can help me meal plan some healthier stuff while washing is going and she starts catching up with some of our programmes on the dvr.
So while she is bathing, I think I'm going to clear the way to put the washing out on the line. Bedding can go in the TD though, no space for that on the lines without it catching on the broken fenceThen I might do some weed killing out in the garden. Which reminds me, I need to find my voile I use on the door during the summer to keep the flies out

Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Quick query; do you put anything in your WM and DW when you do a clean cycle? Do you just run them on empty with detergent?
Also think I'm going to do a supermarket trip later for cleaning supplies. Can anyone suggest what I should have as a bare minimum?
Whatever's on offer!
I like a cap of original Dettol in the wash tray - useful for lots of other things too. But bleach is good too.
You can never have enough bleach - I normally buy a couple when it's on offer!
I'm currently using a concentrated flash multi surface with febreeze. It's lasting me ages and smells nice but it was really cheap when I bought it I wouldn't pay full price for it.0
