not done much today apart from wash up!!!

Been out for the day with the kids of a friend as they were both working (I know let's ask the teacher to baby-sit, she won't have anything to do!!), actually had a great day out, their mum got us tickets to a nearby country show which was fun and gave us a packed lunch and spending money, the kids were really well behaved and had great fun :)

so I'm just off to tidy the LR and the to bed
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last
  • Had a wonderful day out at sydmouth & Seaton today, fun was had by all:j
On the plus side, boys super helpful before leaving, one hoovered while the other WUDUPA :T this left me time to put 2 loads on the line & slap ingredients in slow cooker to make a Bolognese for our return:j
    While OH Fed/walked woofers!
Yippieeee they've finally worked out its quicker if they help!! ;)

everyone doing ok? Hugs & sparkly hopes for all x

I have found a loving home for my fabric stash.. flingage at its best.. a whole cupboard full leaving the house.. now to decide what to store in the cupboard.. I think it may be pushchairs, vacuum cleaner and sewing machine.. I am overjoyed at the prospect of room!

me too PigPen i have decluttered nearly a whole van load for a carboot ! i honestly dont know where it all came from as i was having regular clearouts when pregnant with DS2 .... im feeling better for it tho and cant wait till everythings more organised ...

storage is something that lacks here big time :(

my kitchen is a tip the livingroom is halfway to a tip ad our room is a tip ... the bathroom is also full of clutter its driving me mad the only room that looks ok atm is the hall and ds1's room i could cry its been non stop all week and most of last week too and i feel i have achieved !!!!!! all !!

im really hoping in the next few weeks i start to see an end result its driving me mad ... somethings worng with me it never used to get to me until later stages of pregnancy with ds2 ... and im almost at the point now that i was days before giving birth to him  think the pill is making me a nut job LMAO

I'll start with bonnie, pollybear, poohbear, hex, greenbee, serena, A&W'sMum, deniseNZ, Lil_me, Soappie, Penpen, TNG, Crafty, Mudbath, MOJFand ofcourse, Toots, Diva and MLB.
When I first came to the thread Sarahshattered; TAG; Boddy (though I see her on Facebook) Greenbee, FlyladyFlower, Kassey (never a 'chatty' flylady but there, nevertheless), Gunsandbanjos, Jojothetightfisted, Mozzy, Triker, OrkneyStar (who still contributes to other areas of the forum), Kazmeister...*racks brain* - Quillion of course...(local Flyer to me)

I have a new furry to love. DS and his GF have bought a bunny, which I am to mind while they're at Uni. It's 9 weeks old and clearly cross English (and I have a soft spot for English; love the markings. DS was sent to borrow a drill and came back with an electric screwdriver. DD was despatched to persuade Gramps to (finally) trust us with a drill! Hutch built and bunny esconced.

Now the wierd thing is I was feeling wistful and wishing we were no longer bunny-less just the other day....

Bunny survived his anaesthetic.. JUST... next time it won't even be an option.. he is on his last life.. He has crushed tear ducts (very common from molar roots apparently) dodgy bladder.. his teeth and toenails look beautiful now but he has no fur on his underside.. He has eye drops and weekly baths and daily cage cleans from now on with an endless round of towel washing.. he has no furry pads on his skinny legs so needs nice soft towels for his floor.. He has also decided rabbit food is inedible so will only eat dandelions and veg.. typical old man :p

Shopping tomorrow for hay and a chube.. I didn't want to spend the money until we got him home.. because no one thought he was coming home.. £200 lighter in the bank (or heavier on the c.card) and a very poorly Humbug.

Senile cat is looking healthier... though he has been forcibly brushed.. ratbag bit me yesterday while I was dematting his furry derriere.. he is back at vet in 2 weeks... fortunately we have him on PDSA books.

Other than that, I'm starting to pack for the weekend .. we are visiting OH's family until Tuesdayish I think.. I want to take the rabbit with us.. DD1 is rabbit sitting.

    Question of the day!

On Sunday OH's aunt is doing a meal for various family members .. a variety of curries apparently.. now, I don't eat curry.. none, it is vile.. would it be rude if I were to take a piece of cooked meat and ask to pop it in their oven or microwave to warm it up to have with the rice etc his aunt cooks??

OH says it is incredibly rude but I think it is less rude than me refusing to eat anything and much less rude than expecting something different to be cooked just for me.. I doubt I'll eat much anyway, but it would be rude to have nothing and sit watching them all eat.. I don't want to offend anyone but OH told them repeatedly I don't eat curry and all they keep saying is 'it is really mild' ... I don't give a hoot how mild it is, I wont eat it.. aside from it will no doubt also contain garlic which cripples my poor sensitive tum, I have to be quite careful with a lot of food.

On another foody note.. I ate a piece of sausage earlier which burned the back of my throat quite badly, I am not a happy pickle!

My left ear is full of glue, I am practically deaf in it at the moment thanks to this stupid cold!

I have however caught up on my laundry and dishwashing..

Bother.. baby squawking... best dash xx

Not done a lot of flying but making the most of my weekly bus ticket. Lots of de-cluttering. Birthday card, antiseptic cream and spare games console controllers (been sitting on the landing for months) to DS2. Picked up more library books (going to have some rest over the weekend - in between getting things done).

WUDUPA (including mountain that appeared overnight from the pit of despair - DS3 must have realised he had used all his pots - he prefers bowls to plates, builds a wall of food round the edge so he can fit more in). Sandwiches, bread (2 slice packs for soup) and cross bun loaf cut up and put in freezer (am at mum's tomorrow, if her partner has been near a shop they will have 3 doz cross buns and will ask do we want one every 1/2 hour). Fridge re-arranged.

Was meeting DS1 at 6.30pm but he rang to say he had finished earlier than expected, so rushed to catch next bus. He took me for tea (not posh but free - he took me to a lovely tapas bar last Easter but I couldn't have walked that far, first two pubs we looked in had stopped doing food). he has offered to come and fix the shed roof sometime - started last year, but stopped when it rained and then part was blown off in a storm.

Humongous gibble mountain has left the house - 3 huge boxes from hallway emptied and bags from front room to add to week's total. Nipped into Sainsbobs after leaving DS1 -more convenient to get to than our local one. Picked a few YS goodies and staples (have found stapler and hole puncher, but staples are up Mt Attic-us - need to get receipts stuck down instead of floating around). Couldn't use Nectar points cos not usual store (grr) and they couldn't phone Nectar hq as they go home at 8pm.

Back to house then back on bus to Tessimos for mega shop. Need to re-stock after living from the freezer for the past 3 weeks. DS3 was paying for taxi home so bought tins + veg, meat, fish, essentials. Also bought 2 packs of ready wipes - have gone to do something in the kitchen so many times in the past fortnight and then realised the rag bag is still in the small bedroom (from decorating). Not had the energy to go upstairs to get them (found odd rags drying in radiators). Don't often buy these ready wipes but having them to hand should help until I am back on my feet properly (argued with myself for ages about buying the bus ticket but I've wrung every penny out of it, hoping I can do the same with these).

Finally got in at 10.30pm. Put away fridge and freezer stuff. Need to make a buffet to take to mum's (was going to be veg curry with veg lasagne for lunch, but I phoned yesterday to change it -seemed a bit heavy and had been planned around 2 vegetarians who have now gone down south to his parents). Have bought prawns (value) and rainbow trout fillets (YS) and will throw a few salads together - was going to do today, but so tired. Will plan using SM receipts and get up early.

May have a taxi straight there as have done all town centre jobs today. Transferred cash today so I have a little spare in case I need it for physio appointment etc. Just wrapped mum's present (recycling box from a previous gift and the ribbon bow from her Christmas present, which she handed back intact) and need to take a couple of craft bits - finished off the glue stick at mum's last week but have another and need to take curling ribbon for balloons (another birthday next week - not trying to do them with the manky ribbon mum has).

Will chip away at the list over the weekend and tackle pit of despair on Monday - DS3 is going to meet gf who will be staying until Saturday. They both go into city for his birthday meal with friends, then she goes home and he brings little stair- repairer back (I knew I had agreed to a sleepover sometime but quite relieved it must be for gf birthday in Summer).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.
