I had shredded iceberg lettuce, mayo and a chicken breast all mixed in together, with a pack of space raiders

You can guess who is low carbing again cant you!? :rotfl:

Bit too bland for me today, I can hardly taste anything with this bloomin sore throat.

And no space raiders here, might have some skips left if DD3 has not eaten them all.

I'm thinking of last nights left over hm lasagne, but don't really want it as I'm cutting carbs. However it will get wasted as dh didn't like it and kids have less veggies in there's. Can't freeze as we used burgers which had already been frozen.

You can refreeze the lasagne because you have cooked the meat...I do it all the time

    I feel sick :(:(:(

After spending ages on here trying to work out how to save money on my shopping and having started to have some success, I've just received a parking charge notice for £85 (reduced to £50 if I pay within 14 days). It relates to a free car park at our local out of town shopping place (the Beehive Centre in Cambridge) which serves a large number of shops including Asda, M&S, ToysRUs, Costa, Next, B&M, TKMax etc etc. I hadn't realised that you can only park for 3 hours free. I know this is often the case in single supermarket shopping car parks where 3 hours in one store is usually sufficient for most shoppers (possibly not for Elite members doing several shops though). However, due to the large number of shops, cafes etc, I genuinely thought it was unlimited all day parking and hadn't bothered to read the notices (stupid of me I know). I actually spent over 4 hours in Asda and another couple of hours in M&S, checking and rechecking my shopping to ensure glitches worked etc. :o

I have now been caught on camera by Parking Eye. I know that the advice given on MSE is not to pay this charge as it cannot be legally enforced so I have just spent 2 hours driving myself crazy trying to read all the information on this site and others about what to do. Advice ranges from 'ignore all the letters and they'll stop' to ' institute a lengthy appeal process and send a complex, legally worded appeal'.

I'm so tired and stressed I just can't take it all in and I can't seem to find a thread that has simple, jargon free, step-by-step information about what to do, including templates for the letters I need to send. DH says that it is not worth making myself feel ill over and we should just pay the £50 for peace of mind but that really goes against everything I have worked so hard for and makes all my efforts pointless. :(

I'm sure there must be something on here somewhere that is simple enough to help me in my current state so if anyone is able to post a link I'd be forever grateful.
From my knowledge of parking fines (Scotland law differs from English law) private fines up here can be pursued via Civil Claims court. Civil claims mean that there is an option to take you to court, however they can't pursue you in legal terms (fines that you MUST pay, action raised by police) the most they can do is win a claim & enforce it via Sheriff officers. 9/10 they will not take you to court because they do not have a valid reason to, by Scottish law private firms need to have proof that you have stayed in that place for the full allotted time, they'll should take either CCTV images or photos & there needs to be a landmark to show that you have not moved (numbered lamppost, store sign or any other specified area to show that you have not moved). Look at you're fine, is there any spelling mistakes, has the details of you're car been inputed in wrong & has it been signed by a specified officer? Failure to do that makes the ticket invalid!

As I say that's Scottish law & it does differ in certain areas
If only batman was here, he'd soon get you told

    Afternoon all x

    :hello:

Was thinking about you earlier as I have only been here on and off lately. If it wasn't you that took the last of our mini deo's, from A's, we must have a lurker. :rotfl:
    lurkers.

Just back from hospital with Mum. Her x-ray app was for 10 today, and consultant was 10.30. Orthopedics was heaving, no doubt from the long weekend breaks, and clinic being shut for 4 days.
Well things are as good as can be expected, but Mum struggling, they have put it down to nerve damage and arthritis due to having surgery on the same hip twice, and the same knee also replaced! Now is the wait for the scans for the C check up. Hopefully that will be ok too, to put her mind at rest. We can only hope. :A

Not sure i'll manage to catch up, or get shopping. Got to get back home for next job, DS to orthodontist. With any luck this will be the last as it's his 6 month check after treatment complete. Then he wants a hair cut, but i'm not paying for another one so soon, so that'll be a DIY job in the garden...... No, lot with the lawnmower! :rotfl:

Oh I didn't rustle either. Sorry to anyone that likes them but I wouldn't put one in my mouth!! DS1 has had them in the past and the are the most un-appetising looking things. I couldn't bring myself to get them even if they were free :o
