Proof that they didn't?
When the bins are empty they are easily moved/blown over by the wind.
I have a second wheelie bin for general rubbish that appeared about a month ago, next to my own.
It does have the number of the house painted on it. I could take it back, but equally, after a month, why hasn't the person who's bin it, come looking for it yet?!
You are right midwinter they do get blown over easily but looking at the picture even if they have been blown over looks like one was left right in the middle of what should be left clear for access.
This used to be a problem for me, local to my mum, when I had to take her out in her wheel chair. Often going to the hairdressers was a bit of an obstacle course but manageable where people had put there bins out but while she was there they would be collected and left right in the middle of where I needed to walk, I used to end up walking in the road.
I don't blame the collectors though they have unrealistic time scales to keep to, it's those higher up that plan the journeys and don't allow them enough time to do the job properly.
We have just been having a battle over one of our 3 collection services, one we pay extra for, the 2 we don't are happy to come to our gate, the one we pay extra for say they can't negotiate our corner. I think not enough training for the driver has been given.0 -

We heard themit's not the first time either

Besides you sound a little aggrieved, perhaps a direct connection to the refuse dept in some fashion. Again just a theory.
It was just my opinion Midwinter feel free to ignore itThanks Llovelies - I only wanted an opinion.
I personally would accept it but Fourp doesn't.
I don't want to cause a fuss as the next time I'm sure they will be on top of the tree :rotfl:Our Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

Personally I think Fourp is right but time management have a lot to answer for. :mad:0 -

Ignoring, your theory is way off base.
But those sort of comments are exactly why I often stop posting on this thread.
Will leave you to all carry on talking to your buddies. The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -

I think we must be really lucky here. The service is very good. We have our garden waste removed all year round (I know in some areas this isn't the case) we don't pay extra for any services. The bin men will even collect bins from people who can't manage to put them out themselves if they register for this service with the council.
I have to say I much prefer wheelie bins and the recycling system to the old black bag one we used to have. There's none of the mess that there used to be from split bags and no hoardes of seagulls descending on bin day.0 -

Well I apologise if I am so left field. I only meant when something/someone is criticised for not being right /doing job right we often defend them if we feel/have a direct connection with.
In your case this is clearly not the case and instead just had a strong opinion on proof.
Its a shame you find yourself unwilling to participate due to a response to your comment that you clearly didn't like.

Our garden waste is collected March until October/November, it was free the first year and then we had to start paying for the privilege. No problems until towards the end of last year when either our bin was not emptied or was left several hundred yards away.
What made it unacceptable is the other 2 collection services have had no problem in the 20 odd years we have lived here and still don't.
Our council is good though they have the same service for those that can't manage if you register.
I definitely think the bosses expect far too much, I don't know what time they start but sometimes ours is being collected nearly 11pm at night. :eek:0 -

If you only want to do a squash v S shop, nothing spoiling by adding 3 Pearl plus a trigger to the shop[STRIKE]
- gives you 2 fillers and a few pennies back.
A couple of triggers to use v S.
[/STRIKE]

Thank you savemenow, makes sense now  There are different prices in the Sains 4 for 3, so if you get 4 that are in the sains offer they will all come back N/A! So I have sent people on a wild goose chase
I'll go back and edit my post - For the pearl to compare with Sains you will need 3 pearl plus one not in Sains offer, or an invisible trigger eg the empty bottle.0 -
Going to change the subject here, what is everyone having for lunch, can't get my tastebuds working today. :eek:0
