While we're on legal matters. Someone in this area has been convicted and jailed for fraud which involved taking public money. Apparently they only have to pay back under half of the money. Why would they not have to pay back the full amount? It is reported that they have property that could be sold so why should they benefit from their crime?0

I'm confused with all these shops of cat food/bowls. :(If people are 'spending' roughly £7.63 and getting a £7.01 pp are they using a PP first as by my calculations that doesn't add up
Because 2 free cat bowls are giving £5 PP backThere comes a time in every woman's life when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne ... Bette Davis0 -
Good Morning All,

Today is the start of a new chapter in the Tinyshoes household(())
I do feel loads better thank you Mt2m.
It's amazing what a good sleep can do. I think I was emotionally exhausted by the end of yesterday. Was a really odd feeling walking into Ts this morning, I could have bought whatever I fancied.
But old habits die hard.Spent a penny. :rotfl:
I am even thinking of getting the window fixed in my car, hasn't even crossed my mind to get a new one. :eek:0 -

If I remember rightly (and this I am not sure about) it has to be proved that the property was obtained fraudulently, that is with the money that was obtained fraudulently. It could be that this property was bought legitimately. Not fair I know but I think them'sWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Ooooh, did you get one of those Bissel mops? Hoping to get to a different T today (if I can persuade OH, which is doubtful) and dart in to see if they have a black one. They only had white ones in my T yesterday. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I had to drive past this morning and it's good to see plants in the window sills. It is now someone else's home. It felt ok.
Bless you Tiny:AI saw your post and wondered if you had driven past the bungalow specifically or it was on you route somewhere, its just that a friend of mine seems to do the same thing but on a regular basis and I truly don't think this is a good thing(only my opinion of course) and it does seem that she has not let go and cannot move on.0 -

When my mum died it was manic. She died quite suddenly and we had booked a holiday abroad 10 days later. Everyone urged us to still go so we had to arrange the funeral in just 7 days. Went on holiday, which was, admittedly, a good idea but when we came back the council wanted her bungalow back within a month of her death so we had to literally throw everything into a van one weekend and (somehow) stored it all in our garage and cleaned the bungalow the following weekend.
It made it very difficult to sort through everything as it was all jumbled up and it seemed awful to have treated her belongings like that.
In fact it was a dreadful time altogether as I'd conceived on that holiday but then miscarried at 6 weeks  Was very glad to see the back of 2003.
Big tiny hug coming your way. :A
I know I have been in a very privileged position to have been able to take my time. I can understand totally what you mean about your mum's belongings. I threw away very little in the end, even worn clothes have gone to the textile bank for recycling fabric. With time on my side I hope I have made the right decisions of what to charity and what to keep.
Sounds like it was a very distressing year for you, I hope 2004 brought you happiness and there on. xx0
