I haven't had my renewal pack, I get the full CTC and family element and I've always had my pack by the end of April in previous years. Starting to get concerned now.'Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans'-John Lennon

Hello friends, this is The Bald Butt speaking. I know absolutely nothing about how tax credits are awarded etc, but I think my question might be straightforward to someone more experienced in this field. Basically I was awarded tax credits in March of this year (£50.80 per week), but I had underestimated my 2012/13 earnings by £1000, I only earned £5224,but mistakenly concluded that I earned £6224. Should I be expecting a letter telling me to pay money back? My 13/14 earnings were £10,004 if that makes any difference.0

I only applied in March, so I didn't have the earnings for 13/14 at the time, but I spoke to a lady on the phone last Wednesday and gave her the correct amounts for both 12/13 and 13/14.i asked if I owed money due to my miscalculation, but her response was 'you tell me'. My 14/15 earnings will be around the £10,100 range, I told her that too0

Thanks for the responses, you're more help than the lady I spoke to. However, I don't understand when you mention telling them about an increase in wages. When I got the application form I was asked for earnings in 12/13, which Ieestimated, on the form I said that my hours were 32 per week, from March, that remains the same. I spoke to the lady and gave her the amounts I had earned, in 12/13,and 13 /14, the only reason my wage total will be higher in 14/15 will be because it's a full year at 32 hours per week while last year my hours only increased in March, I've told her that before tax in 14/15 my wages will be 205,76 per week ,so I can't see that I've missed any details0

Yes we all had April and yes all went through compliance. Cause of childcare ?
Well I hope were not been left till June and go through compliance again.
I would have thought we would have forms April.
Fingers crossed they straight forward renewals this year but don't understand why me and welshone not allowed to renew online or auto renewal. Maybe it is childcare or the fact we will be checked again0 -

Hope to be not checked again as it took 10-12 weeks both times I was checked for the previous 2 years. Not sure if I can renew online but will find out when I get my renewal. I do claim for childcare but not a huge amount0
