One rescue collie called Ollie, he's 12 years old now with severe hip displaysia but he still manages to scale 6 foot stone walls and chase after the ladies (he's a full dog). Most of the time he's a complete nuisance with various different issues but I'm glad he's around all the same.

Minnie, JR X Chi (a mongrel) basically, she's tiny but she absolutely rules the roost, in many ways she's a pain in the butt but she's also very good in that she's very bright and will do as she's told (but only when she feels like it). She refuses point blank to go out in the rain and hates puddles delicately picking her way around any she finds. She is very definitely not a handbag dog in any way shape or form though!

Billy cat, he was born in the bottom of my mum's cupboard and originally he could fit into the palm of my hand, I chose him because he was ugly and no one would want him, he's grown up into a handsome, laid back black and white cat with the biggest, greenest eyes you have ever seen. When he went to the vets for an operation he refused to get out of his cat carrier until he saw me and then lay on his side purring on the vet's table.

George, Billy's half brother (same mother), mainly black with a white chest, chin and feet. He's an ugly little fellow but he has a really loud purr and is really quite funny especially when his dignity is ruffled. I've a sneaking suspicion George is scared of mice.

Tinker, fluffy black horror cat, he really does live up to his name. He's into anything and everything and would walk over hot coals for food. He has the loudest purr out of all of mine and if you are not giving him attention say because you are asleep he will sit by your head with his purrs getting louder and more desperate, if that fails he will claw your head.

Betty, RSPCA rescue cat, less then a year old and the most affectionate fluffy black cat out of all of them. She's tiny, she still looks like a kitten but she's the most playful of them all and will spend hours chasing her favourite toy up and down the stairs (currently a metal bangle of my daughters). She torments my other three something rotten but in Tinker I think there's been a meeting of minds, maybe it's because they're both black and fluffy and ostracised by the other two at times because Billy and George love each other above anything else and will sleep curled up together.

When Billy went missing George spent hours wondering around the streets calling for him.

Ollie- 2 black and white moggy, little softie, likes cuddles in the evening, refuses wet food unless there's a sprinkle if dry on top!

Mollie 3 dumped at the vets at 18m as not wanted anymore, so I heard of her and took her on, she hates being picked up but when she wants a fuss she wants a fuss!

Eddie 1 little nutter who bombs around the house chirruping and annoying mollie! Little fluff monster

Sunshine and rainbow- 5 1/2 year old guinea pigs took from a lady who didn't want them anymore, felt so bad as the kids started crying as I left with them, was rather awkward!

Marshmallow 2 guinea pig, fat and soft guinea pig who looks like a marshmallow when lying down! Currently asleep with head in food bowl!

Peanut 6m hamster, had a lucky escape the other night when I came back from work to find cage open, Ollie sitting inside and the other two next to the cage, I'd been gone almost 6 hours but peanut was fine and pottering about inside her hidey house :o

Bubbles- goldfish, did have 2 but one died so need another companion soon :)
:hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly :D

2 cats, Mouse is pure white and we got her from CPL, think she's about 3 or 4. Newton is pure black and we got him from a lady who rescued him from a farmer who was going to drown the litter of kittens.

    I have three cats;

Spider, almost 15. Just a plain old white-with-black-patches moggy. Unfortunately he has two types of cancer now; lymphoma which is being treated with steroids, and skin cancer on his nose which is gradually getting worse. Sadly it's just a question of time before he's in too much pain to continue, but I'm hopeful he'll get a few more months, if not maybe a year, before this happens. This old boy has survived being shot twice with an air rifle (lost a kidney) and run over once (lost his tail), and is still the friendliest creature imaginable. He is friends with all the elderly folk in the bungalows around the corner, visited the local pub, has a mastiff and a Yorkie as friends, and sometimes takes a ride on one old gentleman's mobility scooter. It won't just be me and my OH who will mourn him when he's gone.

Then there's Marble, tortie/tabby moggy with ideas above her station, total little diva madam but very affectionate when she wants to be.

Last cat, and the youngest, is all-black Arnie; he was named ironically because he was such a tiny kitten when he came to us, although he's a lot bigger and stronger now. Even though he's the son of a farm cat, he's pretty much terrified of everything and has a very distinctive whingey meaow, and loves sleeping on his beanbag.

I also have five tarantulas, but people generally don't want to know much about those!

    I've got 3 cats and 2 dogs:

Moaner & Gnawer, sisters, DSH, about 6 years old, white with tabby patches. I got them through Freecycle when they were 8 weeks old. Named as one 'speaks' a lot and other likes to leave teeth marks in things (although not us, fortunately).

Norris, DSH, 1 year old on 1st April, black. He came from our local cat rescue, his mum was feral and he was hand reared from 3 weeks old. A very cuddly cat who loves attention and sleeps in my arms most nights.

Bagga Bones, lurcher (saluki cross), about 7 years old, grey and white, came from Dogs Trust when he was about 9 months old. He was bought over from Ireland where he was found as a stray, he'd been bashed about a bit (? RTA) and has a mangled front leg and crooked pelvis, and was very skinny when we first saw him. He's very gentle with people but can be a bit pushy with other male dogs. Still a bit skittish and can get upset by loud noises (jumps 6+" fence when the wind changes direction!) and despite years of slow, steady training still hates his nails cut and panics if I want to see where he's cut today (lurcher owners will know they are always in the wars!). Regularly falls off the sofa in his sleep. Dope.

Hetty (Boola to her friends), lurcher (mum was a whippet), 4 years old, blue/red merle, white eyes, from Dogs Trust at about 12 weeks. She is still a puppy, and I think always will be. Gets very excited by life in general and thinks every person and dog will just adore her (bit of a tart with other dogs!). Loves to tunnel under the sofa throws and wrap herself up..... great fun can be had by calling her whilst she is buried as she gets herself tied in knots trying to find the way out :)

All have us wrapped around their little paws :D
Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree! :D

I have a tabby cat called Matilda (Tilly for short) and Rosie who is black with white whiskers, both 12-13 year old.

I've had loads of pets in the past when I grew up in the sticks, 2 Shetland ponies, one larger pony who was an unusual colour (black with a white tail), dogs that ranged from Great Dane to a Jack Russell, several cats, a white bunny and last but not least - a sheep called Phoebe !!
