Great to see you Gib! I hate being cold. Imagine me being born in Edinburgh too! Freezing!!
Glad to hear that your mum has improved. I know that I have always improved when I have been discharged. It is having familiarity around and not having to suffer hospital food that helps!Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehh!!!
I was so worried, but SO HAPPY you are back. You just cheered up a rubbish day at work!!- glad nothing disastrous has gone on. We all knew Mr Gib would do fabulously as both part time worker trying to get more hours AND house husband!! Glad it is going so swimmingly!!
Good that mum is improving. I hope she isn't putting too much strain on you to hand-hold.
As for plasterer... get other quotes maybe? Might force his hand! And heating  although I haven't put mine on yet, and have just been wearing my woolies!!lovely to see you back! :grouphug: xx

I am only putting the heating on for an hour in the mornings during the week. We can't wear our woolies in the shower!! It is pretty chilly at 6.30am in our house at the moment. It's woolies the rest of the day though
I sympathise as I would be really struggling. Last year I bought electric blankets for LMG and myself. I am hoping they will keep the bill down a bit. Cozy
I also bought blankets so that we can sit on our couches (we have one each) all toasty. I have my winter pj's on already! Well, not actually right now as I am at work and that wouldn't go down well. Although...when the boss asked me on Wednesday if I am cold in bed at night at the moment and I said no because I am wearing my winter pj's, his face lit up. When I said "No, you just wouldn't." he said "Don't challenge me Gap." So maybe they would be acceptable in the office. :rotfl:

GAP that is brilliant. My pyjamas would go down like a lead balloon at my work. I have a Minnie Mouse onesie
and lots of primarni mens thermal t shirts (long sleeved!) those are awesome!
I am lucky that I have a brand spanking new combi boiler (to replace the old combi boiler) and so my heating doesn't need to be on for the hot water thank goodness. Otherwise we would about an hour a day where we didn't have it on. We go through so much!
We too have matching blankets, have an electric blanket on the bed which is my best friend :rotfl: and why you will find me in bed every night after dinner

Thanks for all your lovely messages guys - so sweet of you
It's been much warmer here, and we've managed to borrow an electric oil filled radiator so have been able to dry our clothes. I do begrudge the cost, but I'd begrude more losing my job due to necessary public nudity (i.e. I'd have no work clothes dry for tomorrow otherwise).
Hope to catch up on all your news soon.
Sending hugs,

Wow Gib, what a disaster
is there any way you can borrow a tumble drier or something from someone? Would be quicker and possibly less harsh on the bills than the radiator?
Hugs xx
