I have just had the worst day ever :(

Right now I don't feel like I can bear to go in tomorrow, even though its an Inset.

I'm sorry to hear you had a rotten day.

After a day like that, it's almost impossible to wind down and relax in the evening

I always used to find that the next day was never quite as bad as I was anticipating, so I hope tomorrow isn't too hideous

Thanks guys, you're right about being unable to unwind Goldie!

I have a child who usually has one behavioural 'episode' per day but yesterday it was all day. So all my planning went out the window and I was literally counting the minutes until the end of the day. I'm usually really calm but yesterday I felt like crying.

There were other things but I'm not going to go into detail.

Anyway, no kids today! I hope next term is better

Surely this feeling of frustration and anxiety I get at the end of the day can't be healthy.

Today would have been ok if I hadn't had to have a 'talk' aka telling off at the end of the day  Basically for not doing something which it is impossible to do in the time available to me. I feel like I have obviously upset the person who complained about it (who is actually a friend), as well as looking lazy/incompetent to senior management. I was basically told to find a way to do it or give up the extra hours.

:( So annoying to end the term feeling like I've got everything wrong!

Sorry to whine and moan every time I write anything! There is nobody at home I can bore with it as even the dogs don't want to know!!!

If you can't let off steam in your diary, where can you do it.

All the teachers here will understand exactly what you mean, and as for the rest of us, anybody who has worked will be able to relate it to an experience that they've had - so we are all understanding and sympathetic

As it's half term, at least you can have a break from it now, hopefully you'll be able to relax into it over the weekend

I'm going to attempt relaxation by attacking my 'to do' list  Last item on the list is 'buy wine'...maybe I should do that first? :A

    Oh, and TFI Friday :j:j:j

    Morning all

Happy half term if you're lucky enough to be off this week :D

What a busy weekend! On Saturday we had a nice mooch around a seaside town we rarely visit and looked at things we would probably never spend that much money on! Then had a delicious lunch on a terrace (under a heat lamp and blankets ) overlooking the harbour. Later on we took the dogs to the beach and walked a really long way before watching the sunset over the cliffs - totally unplanned and I don't do romance but still nice :)

Yesterday I had a lovely ride in the surprisingly warm sun and then took the overgrown pup to training. OH cooked an amazing roast too :T

We may also have watched 8 episodes of The Walking Dead in the space of two days :o

    So...today so far:
    • [STRIKE]Wash bedding
    • Sort and hang washing from the weekend on dryers
    • Tidy, clean and vacuum living room - remember to clean lurcher nose prints from large mirror which I keep forgetting about!
    • Unload dishwasher and wipe down hob and surfaces[/STRIKE]

Not bad for me by 9.20 :j

    Still to do:
    • Download workout plan
    • Do first day from workout plan
    • Sort out RM stuff
    • Renew library books online
    • Write shopping list
    • Post parcel
    • Shop in L1dl followed by @sda
    • Buy new shampoo - hair is really carp at the mo but don't want to pay for more highlights until just before the wedding :o
    • Walk dogs
    • Re-write wedding to do list and spend a couple of hours on that

Feeling pooped just thinking about it!
