Also they sent out a Citroen paint specialist (:)) to check the front bumper and the conclusion is that the miss-colour issue is due to the nature of the different materials: front bumper made from plastic and the body panels are being made from metal.

    I'm unconvinced by that reasoning.

The primer or undercoat should neutralise the differences so the topcoat colour looks the same on all surfaces.

So are they offering a refund, replacement then or not?

Also, as a suggestion could you ask to get to see another DS5 in your colour so you could do a definitive side-by-side comparison?

Some makes are good at it and some are very bad matching bumpers , so it is a valid reason, but not in the OP's case as the rear bumper is OK and matches

    Hi

    News time

I have received a settlement offer that me and my wife decided to accept it. "The terms of this settlement shall remain confidential" so please understand why I can't make this terms public. I want to say thanks to Citroen for making this settlement possible and although, sometimes I doubted it, they can be nice guys with a little push.

My deepest gratitude goes to ALL OF YOU, the members of this forum and others, for your continuous and amazing support. I have no doubt that without your help this wouldn't be possible so THANK YOU.

    One more time a sincere:

    THANK YOU

    Cheers

Well done, you. I guess they decided that here is one evil geezer who is going to make a fuss and not let it drop.
