According to a well respected, radio money programme, this is unasked for insurance and untested when new customers sign up for its suitability.
No that was most probably about CPP, this is not CPP.

No, it was a quote from M....box radio programme about Credit Expert's membership fee of £14.99, not CPP

It really doesnt matter because it's not PPI, its absolutely clear what it is, and what you are agreeing to when you sign up for membership.

If you don't like it and want to get your knickers in a twist about it, go and tell Experian you don't like it.

I think people seem to think they are not allowed to be charged anything anymore.

Also if they dont later like what they are signed up for its must be someone elses fault.

Sorry if this sounds harsh but its very clear on the website whats included so take responsibility if you agree to this.
  • You miss the point... To manage your experian credit file and all the financial & personal information that they hold on you, you are forced into an insurance deal you may not need or require.

It does say what you are buying into when you read through it but that doesn't make it right!

Holding your financial info ransom to an insurance package is wrong!

I have read thru ur profile Taff and you seem to have made a few £'s claiming back things from quite a few financial products. Are you right yo do this then? Did you not read through all the terms etc when you signed up to these ppi packages?? You knew what you were signing up for

So dont subscribe then. Use another provider. If a BMW is too expensive buy a Ford.

it doesnt matter if its right or wrong as its clear so you make a choice to take it or not and that's your decision.

Anyway, cancel it and use Noddle.co.uk as its free. Problem solved.

Yes, I did complain successfully about products sold to me that turned out after a ruling in 2011 to be unsuitable for me because they were missold.

The insurance charged in for their membership is not PPI.

The insurance they are charging for is a perk of membership.

Your financial info is accesible on other sites for nothing.

Don't like it? Complaint to Experian.

What are you achieveing by complaining about it here? Will Martin Lewis magically and metaphorically ride to your outraged rescue on a big white pony?

It's not a perk if you're paying for it

If you were paying separately for it, it wouldn't be a perk.

It's included in the membership [which is it, it is not listed as a spearate charge] it's a perk.

You seem to be under the illusion that insurance is always optional. In some cases, it isn't. This is one of the cases.
