Well, I jumped on the scales this morning and am utterly confused. Thought I had gained all of the 4lbs I had lost back again...but it shows that I have stayed the same, 10st 12lbs.0

Well done, WantToBeSE. How much weight are you wanting to lose?Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.0 -

Well done on staying the same, it means your body is adapting to the positive changes you are making
Tink, the reason you are tired is quite clear - you eat crap and your body clock is completely out of sync. Losing weight is not just about counting calories, it is about making positive lifestyle changes. From personal experience if you made some proper changes your pain levels will drop considerably also. But only you can make those changes, and as ever you seem unwilling to do so0 -
Best of luck with your 'fresh start' Tink, hope you are feeling positive again.
I have decided to be very careful over the next few weeks before the start of the school summer holidays (though not really aiming to lose weight) ,so will stay on this thread for inspiration and ideas .
Best of luck everyone :T0 -

Thanks ab. I don't have a particular weight in mind, just as long as I am somewhere around the 9st 5lbs mark, which is my healthy weight apparently. As I was saying to the fitness instructor at the gym today, I know that getting to 9st 5lbs means I have lost fat, but I want to have definition in my muscles, so I may end up at 9st 9lbs which is heavier but with good definition.
I am hoping that my body will just naturally set itself at a certain weight when I am doing weights and cardio.Well done on staying the same, it means your body is adapting to the positive changes you are making
Thanks tomI hope so! I am wary that I may get on the scales next week and see a number that I am not too happy with, sort of a delayed gain. We'll see though. Its not all about numbers for me, its about being healthy.

So I weighed myself today and I've lost 2lbs! Despite not counting calories
My OH has a theory that its because I've cut red meat out
So happy!
That's 19.4lbs in total I've lost this year, going from 223.6lbs to 204.2lbs0 -
Congrats! :T0

I appreciate the advice, I really do but it wouldn't matter what my sleeping patters in my HMS would still leave me tired if I do too much
If I changed my sleeping pattern not only would I be spending less time with my pets, I wouldn't be able to sleep (can't sleep if I go to bed earlier) I would be up in the heat (heat really affects my body) I would be on a completely different sleeping patters to my OH/carer which would mean I would be bored stiff and more miserable0
