You're off your head fella. Come on, if you demand eveidence from everyone else to back up their arguments, then you've got to be prepared to do the same yourself. Otherwise you're just making yourself look a Grade A plum, which, in my 'opinion', you are doing a sterling job of.
Wrong way round. I have provided information in support of my opinion. No one else has.0 -
Jesus...
"It's only the other side arguing, not me, I'm just stating my opinion".
Priceless.
Correct. I'm just stating my opinion and discussing. Others are getting hot under the collar because my opinion is different to theirs. If you don't agree thats fine, I have no problem with that.0 -

If you look at my posts, you will see copies of extracts from CRA's websites, a copy of an extract from this site (MSE themselves not a member) and a reference from someone from Experian stating that their scores are handed to lenders.
You need to remember that the information provided is in support of my 'opinion' and nothing more.0 -

You mean this, broken, link: http://www.callcredit.co.uk/press-of...-bureau-scores :T
Lenders use their own scoring, not the score of the CRA's. Lenders base their credit scoring algorithm on a lot more than can be seen by CRA's.0 -

And you know this because?.........
MSE say: "You'll be given a different credit rating by each of the three credit reference agencies (a snapshot on the day you get it). But lenders use that score as just one part of their decision to lend".
You will also find plenty of quotes on the CRA's websites that imply this.0 -

I don't see why the MSE quote supports your case? It's simplifying what the lenders do. I do agree that it is misleading compared to the aforementioned stuff I quoted which contradicts it.
As for your "Well the CRAs say this". That's like saying Mazda make the best cars because their website says they do. Every company bigs up what they do, their products, what they sell etc. You'd do it on your CV too if applying for a job.0 -

There you go again, side-stepping the question and asking for everyone to provide proof, yet not doing so yourself.
OK, I'll bite...
Read this: https://equifaxuk.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/257/~/tell-me-more-about-my-credit-score
"Each lender follows a different policy for credit assessments, and if you don't meet the criteria of one lender you can often still get credit from other organisations."
"Your Equifax Credit Scoreâ„¢. is an excellent guide to help you better understand your score."
"6) Can a lender see my Equifax Credit Score™? Lenders will often use their own scoring systems based on their specific lending criteria."
Read this: http://help.creditexpert.co.uk/help/CreditExpert_OOS/Credit_Score/prev_scores
"Lenders do not see your Experian Credit Score or your previous scores, this information is only accessible by you."
"Each lender takes different information into account when producing a credit score for an individual credit application and this is based upon their own internal lending policies. They may use different formulas to calculate credit scores and may even have different scores for different products. This means that nobody can tell you exactly how lenders score individual credit applications."
Now tell me that lenders can see the 'scores' given to you by the CRA's.0 -

Yes agreed, thats why I say that I am not taking this as evidence that they do look at your credit score, but I am taking it as information that leads me to believe that they do.
Because I've been told by someone from the 'inside', and because someone from Experian said it, and because MSE say it, and because CRA's imply it, I believe it could be true.
Neither of us know for sure and you believe they don't and I believe they do. Maybe one day there will be strong evidence to prove one of us right or wrong but in the meantime we will just have to agree to disagree.0
