So what that says to me, is that they are similar. Bearing in mind you build your lending scoring system based on a borrowers lending habits, there is no reason to believe that what you report to lenders is any different to what you report to consumers?

What is one lender is looking for people who pay interest? While the next lender is looking for those who don't, but have high monthly spend so as to benefit from merchant fees?

Which one of those would correlate to the score you see as a consumer?

How can a credit score ( sold by a CRA) mean anything when it does not even take into account whether you have a job or not?

    This ^

And the fact it doesn't take into account the applicants salary either.

We've been trying to say this the whole thread, but cotton wool ears doesn't want to accept that we might be onto something.

A quote by Mr Jones on another thread, the important bit highlighted for clarity:
That's right. It's a guide to help you understand how a lender might interpret your report when it runs its scoring calculations. The CRAs actually help many lenders build their scoring systems so we use similar logic to calculate guide scores for the public. But they are not the same. Lenders' scores look a more information for starters.

And because they state it, it has to be true, right ?

You certainly believed them a few pages back, along with the "insider" you know.

I don't believe CRA's, if you want to support them, then that is up to you. You clearly have a life that is about winning on MSE rather than listening to people who have a different view.

You want to tell people that credit scores are meaningless, yet other than supporting CRA's comments you have no proof.

Ironically, if you really believe their scores are meaningless and yet support their statements to this affect, then why don't you spend your time campaigning against them and challenging them rather than sit on here and argue against people who don't believe them?
