    Hi Ed

I've been pushing ahead with the life admin, as the future is very nearly here.

As it's now November, I can actually say, I'm retiring next month!:j

    Dear Worried of Westminster

No need to worry, I'm not leaving my diary or my MFW'ers. In fact I'll need the focus of my diary more than ever!

    Best regards,

Barely Contained Excitement of Battersea (I don't live there either!)

A really dull, damp morning here, although still warm for the time of year. I've got my washing drying over clothes horses in the spare room - saves using the tumble dryer

I sold a book on GreenMet last night - it's always a surprise when I get a sale on there.

    Have a good Sunday everyone

I do the same with my washing - it has a bit of time draped over a radiator here and there (I air the house for hours every day, with the heating off, so no damp problems created) and then finish it off by putting the clothes maiden up in the counselling room :) I've got the fixings to put a clothesline up outside, bought them from Wilko, but chance would be a fine thing right now, its tipping down.

Fresh air needed, not just open windows ... here's to Sunday :)

I like to get air into the house all year. It's easy at the moment, with it being so warm. I've got several windows open today.

Today's excitement - I got enough points on Ipsos iSay for a £10 JL voucher :T

It's taken me just over 3 months. I'm stopping Ipsos now, another one who screened me out far to often

Well done! Thats the same sort of rate that swagbucks would be for me, without that joining bonus - I'm *really* close to another £3 Amazon voucher, and then whatever points I've earned by then, I'll use them on a prize draw, and that will be that.

Its lovely to be able to air our homes, and then get the central heating going in a flash to warm it up again, isn't it :)

  • Wow, a resignation letter.... Very exciting!
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

It's not an everyday thing, that's for sure. The last one I did was in 1981!

As well as the normal house work, I've got a list of life admin to do. But the good news is that I can spread it over 4 days this week, as I'm only working on Thursday. Once this stuff is done, the majority of the additional admin should be out of the way

    Admin to do

Phone dentist on behalf of Mr Goldie to make an appointment for latest broken tooth

Phone my car insurance people to tell them the good news about my driving licence.

Santander - we already have Internet banking with them, but they appear to be sending new log on details - phone to ask why.
Get direct debits set up on new 123 account - as soon as two show as set up on our account, get account full funded so we can start earning interest

I have too many mugs - prepare a set of 4 for eBay sale

Buy stamps so I can post eBay items easily when my local post office shuts down for 10 days mid November.

Transfer funds to LXF re my share of eBay proceeds and Hx Reward.

Get new TSB account fully funded and make sure we're 'paperless'

    Get some surveys done

    Do resignation letter

Make sure I get to the bottom of random £24.75 payment Sky want to collect

Do shopping list for big online shop next weekend

    I think that's about it.

Ok, off to post the weekends eBay parcels.

    Have a good day

You sound so organised (scuffles off with head hung in shame at own dis-organisation)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
