Lovely pics GG. DH and I spent a lovely week several years ago at Miami beach and drove to the Everglades and down to Key West and Hemmingway's house. Brought back some good memories. Thanks for sharing
We had been to Florida in the 90's, but the southern part of the state was new to us. But it was just great to be back in the USA, as I'd forgotten how much I like itThat's interesting , we have done short cruises on Arcadia and aurora and I enjoyed both very much, we are doing a 3 night on the new Royal Caribbean ovation this week and I am a bit worried we won't like it, bigger is not always better!
Please continue with the photos, it's great inspiration for getting that mortgage paid off asap X
Oceana is a very similar size to Arcadia and Aurora, which happen to be my favourite ships.
I've been on P&O's bigger ships, like Britannia with 3600 passengers. I didn't mind the size of the ship, but with so many people, queues could build up for things like the theatre.
I'll be interested to hear about Ovation. I was looking at some photos, and she is certainly a big girl...a bit like a floating block of flats! But I should imagine she'll be impressive insidemisscousinitt wrote: »Love pics Goldie especially the cat ones...

I've got just a few more to post, it's been a bit of a marathon!:rotfl:
This morning we did quite a bit of work in the garden. It's the first time this year we've really got stuck in, trimming back the smaller shrubs and raking up all the old leaves that get stuck underneath them. We have a 'man' who'll be cutting back the bigger shrubs in a couple of weeks time, but there's already an improvement.
I've been walking nearly everyday. I don't know if I said, but we both lost a couple of pounds on holiday. We ate more, but tended to make healthy choices, and kept active. I think that keeping moving is key, so we are both trying to keep up the momentum.
Anyway, here goes with the last of the photosEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Then on to Charleston. South Carolina. We had originally been scheduled for two days here, but in the event only had one. So only had time for a short walk round the old city areaEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Ooh, didn't expect that last one! Very nice
I have such fond memories of my trip to Florida, it was mad busy but I loved packing it all in. The Vehicle Assembly Building brings back a day trip around the Centre before I watched a launch in the evening!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
