Hugs for everyone who needs/ wants them.

Not been to doctor's (took painkillers at 2am, woke briefly - brushed teeth - then woke at 20 to 2 with back pain). Struggling to stop depression kicking in.

No flying but (clutching at straws here folks)
swept area around kitchen bin (where things don't quite make it/ seep through/ fall out) when I took it to the big bin last night. Will mop as soon as I feel I can manage (one of the bits that has been bugging me). Still haven't got kick boards - hoping to cannibalise a tall shelf unit at DS2's. Half dealt with freezer top hotspot yesterday - can see everything and potato bags will be taken out and filled soon. Recipe - have curry made, will chop wrinkly peppers and hg spring onions in to bulk it out before heating. Did wm drawer last week. Soft water area - no descaling required (and don't have iron). Leaflets ongoing (2 waste bins of paperwork out yesterday) and can't wear sandals as I am diabetic (lace up shoes/ boots at all times -no sandals :( (sad face, not frown), no going barefoot :(:(:(, no high heels (meh).

Happy flying everyone - am going to cut tulips, eggs and bunnies from thin foam sheets to cheer myself up (Do I know how to have a good time or what).

Hi guys I'm new to this thread but not Flylady I have been familiar with her work for some years now although not as familiar as actually doing anything ;) And my sink is white vinyl stuff so I really can't shine it.

By sheer coincidence I have been cleaning my kitchen today. I am off work with an ear infection and I was bored so I got out my steam cleaner and had at the tiles behind the cooker. I'm going to steam mop the floor in a but but I'm waiting for the grocery delivery to arrive (not something I normally do but can't get out at the moment :()

    Hello everyone.

I am new to this Flylady way of doing things. I have just (2 weeks ago) moved into a lovely 3 bedroom house from a 2 bed flat and I want to start as I mean to go on. I am going home tonight to start with shining my sink before I try and tackle the boxes I still have to unpack.

Any suggestions to keep me on the straight and narrow?

Welcome Bonglecat and Tawny75. Tawny, the only tip that seems to be consistently successful is just keep nibbling away at it, little and often, and you'll be surrpised at how much difference it makes. Personally, tidying is more important to me - once the place is tidy, the actual cleaning is pretty quick but I'm drowning in gibble, so even the idea of everything having its place is a pipe dream.

Healing vibes for all poorly Flybabies and Flyladies who are under the weather.

The really nasty jobs at the chalet have all been done, holes plastered, two coats of paint on ex-mouldy bits, fridge swabbed and switched on, water on, hedge trimmed, grass minced and my absolute nadir, the shower has had an hour and a half of scrubbing. Black gunge has been expelled from all crevices and it now looks like new again which isn't bad for three years old. OH and I stopped after three hours and just sat and scoffed sarnis while gazing at the amazing view. He's off to London tomorrow so the rest of it will be up to me, but that's okay because the worst is over. I can flit around the place with a fevver duster, that's not exactly hard work, is it?

Mrs Dog has been decluttered to the groomer's and half of her blankets are in the WM, the other half will be crammed in as soon as I can get this lot on the line, along with her jacket.
    Better is good enough.

Welcome! little bits and often, thats the way - even if you dont do everything on the list just do what you can.

Sigh, my day has gone pear shaped. Got home from work and planned to do some baking then tackle the bathroom from yesterday then the kitchen.

First my parents dropped by, then my neighbour. In fact I am getting a little bit fed up with my neighbour finding an excuse to drop in and sit in my kitchen for half the afternoon. Sorry, thats a bit unkind but she is off work at the moment and I am just sooo busy.

Going to tackle the bathroom now, then have a late tea, then blitz the kitchen. Will check in later.

Aga has died and will not restart, BBQ for dinner then. Eng booked for Thursday.

Doing quite well with the kitchen, just going to hoover and mop before dinner. Missing all day tomorrow so trying to not get behind.

Newies welcome - please bear in mind this thread is only loosely inspired by Flylady so you may find it very different.
