Just received an update from Valued Opinions saying that "You may have noticed the cost to redeem retail vouchers has increased by £0.50 in Valued Opinions Currency. This means you’ll need £10.50 in your Valued Opinions account to cash out for a £10 retail voucher."
Has anyone else received this e-mail? From now on we need to earn £10.50 to exchange for £10.00 voucher???

Yes I've just received it. I am not impressed. IT was bad enough when they put amazon vouchers up to £15. Now they want us to pay them... I suspect people will start abandoning them for other sites0

I've also received their email.
Reward costs are changing
You may have noticed the cost to redeem retail vouchers has increased by £0.50 in Valued Opinions Currency. This means you’ll need £10.50 in your Valued Opinions account to cash out for a £10 retail voucher.
The Valued Opinions panel has grown significantly over the last few years and since more people are completing surveys - we’re having to procure and dispatch more vouchers than ever before.
As a business we’re regularly looking at the numbers and noticed costs associated with buying and delivering vouchers have increased significantly over the last few years.
Unfortunately, this means we can no longer absorb all of these costs and we’ve had to increase the redemption level to continue offering your favourite retail vouchers.
We guarantee that we won’t apply further increases to your redemption levels in 2014.
I would have thought that if more people are completing surveys for them, they would be making more money! Not expecting panellists to pay for the success created.
Not impressed.0 -
totally sucks
hope it's not the beginning of Admin fees for claiming vouchers0 -
Would be a lot easier if they paid to pay pal and that would be less admin for them surely?0
-
They'd save some money if they combined postage on multiple vouchers and encouraged people to cash out less often.
I saved up and cashed out on 2 x £10 vouchers and they posted each one out in a separate envelope.
Never bothered again since, always cash out at £10 now.0 -
I understand someone has to pay for postage etc but why are they applying this charge to Amazon which a) does not get posted and b) is delivered instantly to your email so where is the admin?0

You can choose flexecodes at £10 and can order Amazon codes via that0 -
Abit unfair on us to stick on 50p, 25p maybe but 50p is unfair. I find VO hit and miss, I began in May last year and got my first £10 in about 6 weeks, my second took about 4 months! I used the first two for Xmas and began again just after Xmas, Third and fourth both within 3 months and I'm saving those for Xmas shopping (I get Boots offline vouchers)
Despite it taking several weeks/months time wise it's quite minimal so I don't mind doing their surveys and build up my balance:money::rotfl::T0 -
Is anyone else finding that surveys for ValuedOpinions are down at the moment?
I've had two invites in the last 24hrs and when I've clicked on them nothing loads - I just get an 'oops' could not connect/webpage is not available page in chrome.
I can log into the actual website, but again, when I click the links there for the same surveys, same result.0 -
I've completed two of their surveys in the last couple of hours, on Internet Explorer.0
