Nottingham 4% Regular saver Isa 2014/15

Options
Hi

Its not on their website yet, but Nottingham building society have a new regular saver Isa for the 2014/15 tax year available from Monday 7th. Starter ISA 4.

I presume it will be no transfers in and no access, and matures on 5.4.15 to follow their terms of previous issues.

You can make payments of £1250 per month at a fixed rate of 4%.

It is available in branch. I asked about a postal application but was told it was in branch only.

    Thanks for the update here.

If its like the last one you'll be able to pay less than maximum (per month) and make up the remainder at the end of the year.

PS Anymore info on the two fixed rate (1 yr and 2 yr) they are due to offer? Thinking specifically about chances to 'top up' in July.

No branches anywhere near me so off my radar immediately.

IIRC existing customers can usually open by post even if the conditions say "branch only"

It's a shame you have to lock the money away or I'd be all over this.
    What will your verse be?

I have opened accounts with Nottingham by post in the past, but the lady I spoke to was instant that this would not be possible now.

In April 2012, I opened Issue 2 in branch because I happened to be in the area. In April 2013, I sent my application for Issue 3 to the head office last year and it was accepted, having been advised that I would need to open it in branch.
    I came, I saw, I saved.

    How do you know this?
I live about 50 minutes away from a branch (walking) I'll make the journey if this is true but want to be sure it is first!!!

I had a letter as my 2013-14 Isa is with them.
I spoke to a branch before the budget and the monthly maximum was £495 @ 4%.
I then rang again last week to see what was going to happen re the new £15k limit and was told the maximum was now £1250 per month @ 4%.
I have an appointment to open mine next week, although not really local, will have a day out!
I am sure it will be on the website tomorrow.
