I am also an existing customer, I opened the regular saver last year by post and I emailed them last week and asked if I could open this new one by post. They said it is possible and asked me for my address so they can send me the application form. I have not received it yet though, will let you know what happens.

Have opened mine with a brief email - response below:

"Thank you for your query. If a customer would like to take out the newly launched Starter ISA Issue 4 by post then this would be fine if we had already opened branch based products for them by this method before. If they would like this then they would need to contact us on 0844 4814 444 so that we may arrange to have these documents sent out to them."

Where did you send your application? They sent me an addressed envelope with the application, which wasn't a branch but a central office of some kind (don't have this paperwork any longer - passed it on to a relation and applied for the Saffron ISA instead - now opened)
