Good job mpython, the answer is -46. It makes no difference how you look at it, (it's not "just a sum" anyway, there is addition, subtraction and multiplication) you don't just do it all in the order it is written down, maths/science wouldn't work otherwise! This is an appalling question!0

It's not an appalling question, it's an interesting one; why else are we talking about it.
Applying the rules of operator precedence, i.e. apply time and divide before plus and minus, you get -46. It's the sort of question we used to get at school. They've been cunning with their answers.Wearing my other one today.0 -
