The newspapers usually have some good ones. I remember the grauniad in 2010 'revealing' Labour's election campaign poster featuring G Brown offering D Cameron a fight, "outside, posh lad".
Seems a lifetime ago.
The same page had an advert by BMW showing that they were offering special edition cars with badges coloured blue, red or yellow so the customer could show their political allegiance."I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by."0 -

I set my phone to test the ring tone before I got on the Glasgow Underground. Halfway through a tunnel I pressed it to ring in my pocket then I pretended to get a call. I answered; "No I'm actually on the Tube, they must have installed mobile coverage in the carriages... It's great... etc." Cue 90% of passengers pulling out their phones. Suckers. Heehee.0

We all need that diet water tap!
I saw this! My BF thought it was real and was engrossed. I knew the date and chuckled to myself whilst not letting him know what it was. I then said it was obvs an April Fool to which they argued, it couldn't be, it was on TV :rotfl:Mr.Generous wrote: »When I worked in Speke and St Helens, near Liverpool I played the same joke several times. I left a phone message for various people to call back Mr Lion who was absolutely going wild. 0151 430 9009 was the number I left. They took it very well, must get hundreds of calls like it. They just said he can't come to the phone right now its feeding time. Knowsley Safari Park also have a sense of humour. We got the extremely miserable dour Scots manager at Chester to ring 01244 380280 and ask for Mr C Lion as well. He just hung up when he realised and didn't even crack a smile. I don't know if Chester Zoo had a sense of humour but I suspect they do.
I've done the Mr C Lion but the number was our local Sealife Centre.
I once went to a boss with my 'resignation' in an envelope. I told him that's what it was as I handed it to him and he looked gutted and wiped his furrowed brow. Then he opened it and found an A4 white sheet which had APRIL FOOL in massive letters. Luckily he laughed and didn't sack me :rotfl:0 -
The Spaghetti Tree, Tartan Paint and a Long Stand (have got various family members with the last two) are classics in my book!0

I was about twelve years old. April Fools Day was on a Sunday so both my parents were still in bed when I got up. I took two cups of tea upstairs to them with salt in instead of sugar. I caught my Dad tipping them down the toilet. They were going to pretend that they had drunk them & tell me the tea was lovely, but they didn't reckon on me coming straight back upstairs with more tea. :rotfl:
would've . . . could've . . . should've . . .

April Fool pranks don't have to be mean-spirited to be enjoyable or memorable0 -
