Ebico - Awful website and poor service
Options
As many now know, ebico have lowered their gas electric prices. So I decided to view what the new prices were by looking at ebicos simple list of electric prices but guess what? The links no longer work and ebico have also change there website and it is awful.
I could not find any list like before. I popped over to face book and a link was posted to a PDF, which was not as good. The prices were out of date anyway. So I called SSE and even they didn’t know what the new prices were, as had they no list at the time.
So I called ebico to complain about the lack of information on their website and broken links. They passed the buck and said it will be passed on to there web team.
I received a numpty reply by email saying, that they has now sorted the problem. No link to the prices. I cheeked the ebico website again and the links still didn’t work.
I called again for a second time and was told it would be sorted. I said if not I will be posting here.
Well ebico have really gone down hill. They are no longer ethical and there website is nowhere near as good as the old website. They seem to want to make it difficult for us to see a simple list of prices. Using some stupid estimator is not helpful. We want the prices like they used to have them.
They changed the website after January this year and ebico don’t seem to care what there customers thinks This company are a disgrace! We want the map back and the simple price list that should be here. https://www.ebico.org.uk/component/content/48
Wayback shows what it used to look like as you can see, you had links from the menu to the prices but they have now been removed.
Clearly and easy it says, products and prices and if you hover over menu, it says prices. That has now been removed deliberately by useless ebico, to make it difficult for customers to find simple price list.
Works as if it is the website. http://web.archive.org/web/20140117114531/https://www.ebico.org.uk/
Ebicos price reductions are peanuts, no wonder they don’t want us to see the price list. Avoid ebico, as they are not ethical or honest. No better than the rest of the bent energy industry.
MSE should push for clear and simple unit pricing from all energy providers and make it available, in a simple text, excel format.

If you use their quick quote https://www.ebico.org.uk/ it gives you their kwh prices.0

'Ebico' works for me as I'm a low user. Having no standing charge or tiers is essential for my supply.
I agree 'Customer Service' isn't top notch, most of your business is handled at SSE (their supply partner) and they are not so clued up on Ebico.
The new rates reduce my combined bills by £22.88 a year.0 -

Thanks but I don't want to use quick quote or keep entering my potscode. We want the simple price list like they used to have.Say No to smart meters!

Hi, I luv cats. SSE has been far better than ebico. SSE are not responsible for the website but ebico are being the difficult ones.
One of the reasons we moved to ebico. Was because of there honest pricing and they had a simple unit price list, for the regions. Not the case anymore.Say No to smart meters!

Maybe try Facebook or Twitter.
SSE should know the rates (as well) as they programme the pre-payment system and produce bills.0 -
Here is some shots of the old website. See how clear and simple the map and unit prices are? That was far better.

With SSE you need to enter your postcode to get their prices. https://www.sse.co.uk/
You also need to notice this written above the quick quote.
"including discounts of Monthly Direct Debit: £80Δ Paperless bills: £12Δ"0 -

Ebico was different from the rest of them but even SSE, give you your unit rates. Ebico should know better. Screen shots above are what they should be like.Say No to smart meters!
