My gas and electricity company (which yesterday informed me they planned to increase my direct debit by £71 a month, a rise of 51%!!!) phoned back today, asking for current readings. My OH read the meters and gave them the figures. After a few moments working out, they informed him that yesterday's nonsense was clearly an error, and that my direct debit would be staying the same for now :j:j:D:T so Nargle is a happy bunny today.
Today I went out with DD to celebrate our joint birthdays which happened this week (hers the day after mine). We agreed just to give token gifts and have a day out together somewhere, and we chose a little market town not too far from either of us, a place we had both been to but ages ago. It was a lovely day spent mooching about the market and the shops (got a lovely long frock from a charity shop for £6, fits perfectly, and DD got a lovely fitted Next jacket in her size, ideal for job interviews, for £6.99). A fabulous lunch in a French bistro followed, and a stroll around looking at the views of the river before driving back home where DD caught up for an hour or so with DS (who was mooching around town with his mates) before she got the train home. All in all a lovely day, and all is chilled in the Land of Nargle.......back on the NSD trail tomorrow! One life - your life - live it!0 -

Evening everyone.
Sorry Ive been AWOL. We went away on thurs, due to come home on Fri. But when we got there we managed to book to stay another night. However little baba became poorly so we came home. And now he's very poorly. Very high temp, non stop crying, and now started on antibiotics. So not been able to get on here.
Hopefully will be able to pop in over he next few days to catch up and update.
Have nabbed 2 more NSD's though.
Hope everyone's wellSPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
Hi fellow non-spendy folks.I'm not sure that that term applies to me,what with my recent spendy behaviour.
I've lost the plot slightly,as I noticed a discrepancy in my budget, which has 34 different categories all lumped together in one account and all kept in track in a jotter. The discrepancy was that the actual amount in the account was higher than it should have been by quite a large margin, which sent me scurrying off to spend this bounty-on clothes mainly. These spends shouldn't set me back, but feeling very unhappy,as it felt so easy to fall into the 'spend, spend, spend' mode again.I really thought that I was over this. There's a lot going on in my life which is stressing me out no end,so trying not to be too hard on myself.
On the plus side,I have also bought Christmas prezzies for the Aged Pees, the items being on sale. That's a plus.
I think that my nsd total is now standing at #7.
Hoping to get #8 today.

Glad you got the energy bill sorted Nargle it's a horrible worry and some would have struggled to pay it without questioning it.
ETO hope baby ETO gets better quickly, poor little chap x
marmite try not to stress about the spends too much, at least you had the money in your account and didn't put it on credit so that's a good thing. Being on our journeys however long or short should hopefully mean you don't need to deprive yourself of all treats, be it a bottle of bubble bath, a bunch of flowers or a new top depending on budget. Xx
Well yesterday was spent pottering about the house so NSD #6 getting there slowly this month.whisking OH over to Wickes later to get some shingle and bark chippings.....he can hardly contain his excitement :rotfl:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
