How likely am I to be pregnant? URGENT
Comments
-
Just to clear up some misconceptions- the 7 day break in the pill was invented in the 50s as it was thought that women would miss the monthly bleed. It is NOT a real period as you wouldn't have ovulated due to the pill you were taking.
Whether you are pregnant now depends on whether or not you have ovulated and how long that was after you had the unprotected sex.
Probably unlikely but do a test (probably just a cheap one) and maybe repeat again in a week or two if you don't have a period or the symptoms you are experiencing continue.
Most of this information could have been easily found on google.....
And this IS NOT medical advice, just what I would say to a friend0 -
I'm male, have no medical background, don't know the rules about taking the pill, have no children and when I was younger I was tricked into believing that righty made the boy babies so quite obviously my opinion on this matter is extremely pertinent and accurate and should not be ignored.
It's quintuplets, quite clearly, no question.
If you don't believe me, I suggest peeing on one of those sticks you get from the chemist.... nail files or whatever they are.

I think she's caught something, myself..0 -

Sorry Person One, you have no idea what you are talking about. I dated a doctor for 5 years AND my mum was a midwife in the late 60s/early 70s. It's most definitely a 1 in 8 chance she's pregnant.0 -
...or is it the patter of tiny hooves?0

If you had sex on the 7 days break then you should be okay. It's if you have sex after the 7 day break and haven't started taking your next pack that the chances would increase greatly. It would be very unlucky if you were pregnant, though certainly not impossible.
It should be a lesson learned for you though.0 -
*waits for OP to do said pregnancy test and update us all*

Even a midwife or a gynecologist couldn't diagnose you accurately as pregnant or not over the internet! Everyone's got the same 50:50 chance of guessing correctly.0 -
I hope you are ok! Without wanting to alarm you, I was late starting my pill after my 7 day break.
Temporarily forgot this but then stopped and took other precautions (Sorry if too much information). Around 9-10 days after I begun getting period cramps and sore nipples/boobs. I thought I had just messed my body up. I got the cheapest test I could find to put our minds at rest as I was convinced that I could not be pregnant (I have had gynae problems all my life - wont go into those).
As it turns out I am indeed pregnant, 4 weeks on friday. Shock is an understatement. What would it mean to you if you are pregnant? I would take a test just to be sure x
Edit: to the comments regarding 'urgency', discovering the possibility of pregnancy is a time of panic and anxiety for a lot of people, planned or unplanned. The poster clearly needed immediate support, not criticism.0 -
Thank you Lottie.
And to the above posters. To be honest whether or not I am using the word urgent correctly is the least of my worries right now
I've got the tests will take one tomorrow morning0 -

Or very lucky, depending on your point of view.0
