Thank you Willowbee. The long range forecast for 3-8 May isn't brilliant, but we have some interesting places to visit.

My daughter has a seahorse tattoo very high on her thigh, my son has a Chinese dragon on one arm and a Celtic-type design over his shoulder. I am sure both would be intrigued as to protection for them.
When my son cut his arm doing some DIY (caught it on a protruding nail) his chief concern was that his tattoo would not be damaged. It wasn't, luckily and all healed well.

    Hi all.
I did laugh about the horse shampoo mix up, sam.4000 will you use it on your hair?
Yes already tried it. It can be used on human hair, I definitely think I have been watching too many you tube videos or I would never have got the idea.;)

Some great freebies there Kadison - amazing!!

I love mandala tattoos. Would love to see a pic of what you get. I didn't know that you could buy stuff to put on tattoos to keep them looking nice. I only have the 1 tattoo but I don't like it much as it was an impulsive one when I was 18 :o

Last year I had 2 regrettable tattoos covered by a larger design. They were ones I got when I was around 18 and 20 and I didn't like either of them, one was a black cat thing and the other was a tribal thing. Both of them were impulsive, the kind of things you choose from the tattoo shop wall! Anyway there's no trace of either now and I have a nice big colourful piece across the top of my back :)

I'll definitely post a pic when I get my mandala :T

The Ink Shield is SPF 45 and I think it has manuka honey and other moisturising goodies in it. I generally just use a supermarkets own high SPF sun cream on my tattoos and moisturise regularly. The Ink Balm is meant for use on fresh tattoos to help them heal and stop them from scrabbling and itching :)

  • Can anyone recommend a good moisturiser for dry patches on the face that isn't too heavy. My medication has really dried out my skin and my usual moisturiser isn't doing the trick.

    Hi Kadison :hello:

That was really sweet of you to post your totals in response to my body lotion shock! :rotfl: Thank you :)

I may gradually total everything up but I'm not sure I'm up to it yet!

    Xx

I have a spreadsheet of how many mls of each thing I have, so I know how many mls I need to use up per month to have graduated at a certain point (currently end of September).

    I'm a numbers sort of girl! :D
Welcome back Willowbee! So sorry to hear that you have not been well.

Kadison, thank you for making me feel better with those totals.
I love doing toiletries maths! I keep meaning to write some assignment questions based around toiletries, I'm sure some students would find them relevant and interesting.

I guess you could repurpose some of the body cream type products for your feet?
And on that topic.. NBI for feet has arrived, I will be reviewing this tomorrow both on Am@zon and here as it is an overnight product, though I want to use it for daytime too.

It rubbed in really well on a quick trial earlier, so even if my bed socks don't stay on, I will be able to give it a fair review. (This is because bed socks never stay on with me. My arthritis has kicked bedroom athletics that knocked my socks off into touch, alas.)

Also a lovely surprise following an online survey for the company, an NBI of 50 ml of Sanctuary Spa Mande Lular Sensuous Body Souffle. I have long wanted to try this and it smells like heaven. Saving it for my holiday which starts next Saturday. (UK coach trip, 5 nights in a hotel in Weston -s -Mare).

Having lived abroad and also fulfilled my childhood dream of visiting New England and Canada, I've had UK based holidays only for some years, our country is so diverse and has so much to offer. If you exclude Ireland, I've not been abroad since 2003.

I've noticed that there have been a lot more TV programmes featuring various parts of Britain, highlighting their beauty - GOOD.

My take is that it's very important, vital even, to be interested in world affairs and other cultures but they don't all have to be personally experienced.

I actually use day cream on my feet, as I can get through the body lotion stash for its intended purpose.

Re the UK, I haven't been abroad since 2002 and I don't care in the slightest, I LOVE the UK, I love packing up the car and going off somewhere new (Scotland this time, in 2 weeks - eeeee!). I love the independence of not having to worry about flight times or luggage limits, or language barriers (though I suppose it's possible in parts of Scotland!).

Moreover, this country is stunning and I think it's a shame that people don't holiday here more, either because they want guaranteed sun or because the prices are so high in season, I'm lucky with that as I don't have kids so can holiday when I please.

I think I will go abroad again at some point, but while I'm holidaying alone, I like to stay within driving distance, but there are places I want to see before I pop my clogs, so I need a holiday pal! :D
I will take you and raise you 940ml of hand treatments and creams, 894ml of perfume and as for shower and bath gel well... 9330ml....:eek::eek:

    Welcome back Willowbee!

Oh, and edited to add - the bath and shower gel excludes the 1.345kg of solid soap and further 1100ml of liquid soap also in the stash....

    Wowee!

Now with my totals, I count grammes as ml and single items without ml or grammes as ml, for instance a 25 pack of face wipes is counted as 25ml, one bath bomb as one ml, I could weigh them I guess but I'm not that OCD about it! Well not yet anyway! :rotfl:

A massive welcomeback to Willowbee. I remember you well from before, lovely news that you have moved in with your OH.

And - I have been watching the new Warwick Davis series where he is touring around the UK with his family they seem to be having lots of fun. I have just returned from the Peak District, we have been going every year since before we had children and there is still loads to see. We visited Eyam last week - although I have been before - it is known as the plague village and is a fascinating albeit very sad story and totally captures my imagination. We also watched some of the filming of the new series of The Village, it was great, they were doing a country fete day and it was great chatting with the actors and I will be looking out for them when I watch it. All this just over an hour from home.

    I have a uu

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm - 50ml, have more in the stash but for now I am finishing off a 30ml tube of C&P which I took away with me last week.

What about buying a balm to put on the dry patches had use your usual moisturiser all over.

Or try Weleda skin food. I got some in my advent calendar and it's defo a WBA. Love the smell

Hi Willowbee. I'm a newbee but you are so right- this is a warm funny place.

I dread to think of what my totals are!

3 ins (guess whose been to Asda)

Cooling leg gel from NSPA (I have arthritis In my knee and this feels nice on it)
Bath Soak NSPA (pathuliol- tried it already & not over impressed)
A bath bomb (was half price and I usually end up letting my little boy use them- he loves the fizz & colour)

Heartbreaking isn't it. Their bravery & sense probably saved many many lives. I can't imagine that ladies pain at burying her husband and six kids on her own in one week.
