  • It's a sad day in the Lawyer house today, as I've UUd the last of my L'Occitane almond shower oil 250ml. This was the product that got me in to l'occitane, only just over a year ago. One year on and I have more than 60 L'occ products to use, and I only paid for about 10 of them!

I have one dinky 75 ml bottle of almond oil left and then it's gone gone gone. Might treat myself to a new bottle for my birthday in August...

I am coming closing to using up the last of my Smashbox photo finish primer. I bought the travel size a good 6 months ago so it's lasted well, but I'm curious ti try another primer. I've tried benefit before and it didn't work with my foundation, and it needs to be without colour as I am so pale the tinted primers can be darker than my own skin. Does anyone have any recommendations for me?

I love Laura Geller Spackle primer as it's non greasy. I found the Smashbox one too oily (although I could have tried one of the variations I suppose). Have tried the Benefit one and can't remember what I thought of it. The only other primer that I have been really impressed by is Make Up For Professionals which I bought in the US and I don't know if this is available over here yet. LG is only available from QVC. Might be worth trying and then returning during the 30 days MBG period if you don't like.

I used to be like this with L'Occitane as I used to buy the TSVs regularly from QVC. These usually always contain Almond Oil and it now depends on the quantity of this that I have already as to whether I buy these kits again.

Work has been manic since I got back in on Tuesday (I've even been in today) so I didn't even notice the L'occitane flash sale. I get the emails sent directly to my work email as well. Mind you, I didn't need anything as I'd just been instore when we were off last week.

Am a little fed up that I haven't UUed anything for ages. Think I will pull a L'occitane Cherry Blossom shower gel and TBS Cherry Blossom body butter out of my stash later. Am at a party tonight so could do with a fragrance to layer anyway.

Repainted my nails last night and am wearing OPI Suzy's Hungary Again with Rose of Light on my accent fingers.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    Hello!

I used to post to and follow this thread. I loved it a great deal but I stopped due to illness. (I couldn't really do anything for a while). It doesn't feel like I stopped for that long but I've found that I last posted in Nov 2012!

Anyway. I've been reading along for the last few days and I'm ready to join in again. :D I've missed being here and the thread is as warm, friendly and funny as I remembered.

I've been keeping a UU list whilst I was away and reached 128 new UUs. I'm going to find my old total and find out where I'm up to. I was tempted to start again but having started to look through my stash I need all the sense of progress that I can get! :rotfl: I've definitely added to my stash since I last posted but I avoided INs from Christmas/Jan sales for both 2013 and 2014. I still have an astonishing amount of things to UU though...I seem to use things up at a very slow pace.

I love the idea of a PP list. Mine is rather long but it's not with the hope that I'll use it all up in a month. It's more of a reminder of which things to focus on, across most categories and including both relics and PRCP items. Here it is:

    LHJ
    1. Bliss Blood Orange and White Pepper Shower Gel (473ml) - PRCP (using as handwash)
    2. Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energising Eye Gel (15ml)
    3. Bliss The Youth As We Know It Serum (30ml)
    4. Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment (125ml)
    5. Bumble and Bumble Quenching Complex (125ml)
    6. Neal's Yard Remedies - Jasmine Enriching Cream (Relic 40g)
    7. Origins Multi-Grain Make-up - LHJ and PRCP as discontinued but was HG

    8. Elemis Treat Your Feet foot cream (S 20ml)
    9. Nuxe Reve De Miel Hand and Nail Cream (S 15ml)

    10. Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Balm (S 2.2g) - PRCP
    11. Lush Lip Service (Relic 10g)
    12. Elemis Lip Revive (S 3ml)
    13. Benefit Dr Feelgood Silky Lip Balm (Relic 15g)
    14. Carmex Balm Tube (10g)

    To UU on neck
    15. Origins Grin From Year To Year (Relic 30ml)
    16. Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream (S 8.9g)
    17. Clinique DDML (relic S 30ml)
(NYR Jasmine Cream - see LHJ)
(Bliss Youth As We Know It Serum - see LHJ)

    [STRIKE]18. REN Moroccan Rose Shower Gel (S 50ml) 25/4[/STRIKE]
    19. REN Neroli Shower Gel (S 50ml)
    20. Maybelline Rose Ivory Mineral Loose Powder Foundation (8g)
    21. Phil Smith Be Gorgeous Dry Clean Dry Shampoo (75ml)
    22. Caudalie Radiance Day Fluid SPF 15 (S 10ml)
    23. Perricone MD Advanced Face Firming Activator (S 30ml)
    24. Orico Transcend Marine Radiance Serum (S 10ml?)
    25. Malin+Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturiser (S 29ml)
    26. Rodial Glamtox Night (S 15ml)
    27. L'Occitane Creme Divine (S 15ml)
    28. Nuxellence Jeaunesse (S 15ml)
    29. TempleSpa Skin Truffle Total Facial Rejuvination (S 15ml)
    30. Nip+Fab Frown Fix (4ml)
    31. Soap & Glory The Fab Pore face mask
    32. Pure Fiji Nourishing Exotic Oil (30ml?)
    33. Balance Me Balancing Face Moisturiser (50ml)
    34. Dea Sea Magik Silky Smooth Body Lotion (S 50ml)
    35. L'Oreal Micellare water.
    36. Dead Sea Source Ginger Body Souffle (Relic 350ml)
    37. India Hicks Island Living Spider Lily Body Lotion (250ml) - PRCP

First PP UU - REN Moroccan Rose shower gel (50ml). Lovely to use but WNBA unless on a very good offer.

I've started a new stash list as I don't have everything here. (I've moved in with my OH since I was last here. He's away at the moment so it's a good time to be quietly counting body lotions and re-arranging everything! :rotfl:) My main problems areas are facial skincare (thanks to changeable skin and hoping for miracles) and body lotion (always appealing yet I don't use/need much and prefer body oil). I'm keeping my Birchbox and YOU beauty box but want no other INs, unless 'vital' replacement items (eye make-up remover is the only thing I think I'll need for quite some time). There seem to be lots of good offers around at the moment but adding up my body lotion stash has stopped me buying. (Confession - I have 1610ml of travel sizes and 2950ml of full size lotions here   )

As a sidenote, I've started a separate list for UU sachets but I'm not adding those to my total. Travel sizes definitely count though! (I mark them as 'S' for sample size and always record the amount in mls)

I'm very happy to be back!

    Love, Wil xx

Welcome back Willowbee! So sorry to hear that you have not been well.
Kadison, thank you for making me feel better with those totals.
I love doing toiletries maths! I keep meaning to write some assignment questions based around toiletries, I'm sure some students would find them relevant and interesting.
I guess you could repurpose some of the body cream type products for your feet?

And on that topic.. NBI for feet has arrived, I will be reviewing this tomorrow both on Am@zon and here as it is an overnight product, though I want to use it for daytime too.
It rubbed in really well on a quick trial earlier, so even if my bed socks don't stay on, I will be able to give it a fair review. (This is because bed socks never stay on with me. My arthritis has kicked bedroom athletics that knocked my socks off into touch, alas.)

Also a lovely surprise following an online survey for the company, an NBI of 50 ml of Sanctuary Spa Mande Lular Sensuous Body Souffle. I have long wanted to try this and it smells like heaven. Saving it for my holiday which starts next Saturday. (UK coach trip, 5 nights in a hotel in Weston -s -Mare).

Having lived abroad and also fulfilled my childhood dream of visiting New England and Canada, I've had UK based holidays only for some years, our country is so diverse and has so much to offer. If you exclude Ireland, I've not been abroad since 2003.

I've noticed that there have been a lot more TV programmes featuring various parts of Britain, highlighting their beauty - GOOD.

My take is that it's very important, vital even, to be interested in world affairs and other cultures but they don't all have to be personally experienced.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

The body creams will be used on hands and feet and (in some cases) in lieu of perfume. Toiletry maths is v helpful to get things in perspective, though also :rotfl:

I'm using a 50ml Mandelular at the moment as well and agree that it's lovely. What a great NBI :D

I hope that you have a lovely holiday next week

I'm thinking about getting something on the front of my shoulder, like collarbone area and I really like dotwork mandalas so presently Googling away trying to get ideas. I have an unfinished sleeve but it looks good enough to not worry about getting finished for a while, I quite like it as is. I have a mermaid on my thigh and want something on my other thigh at some point, I'm thinking maybe the goat/fish combination for Capricorn, I have a couple of images saved that I quite like.

I've only used the balm on fresh tattoos so I don't know if it has any effect on healed ones.

The Ink Shield is a bargain because I think it's about £12 full price! What are the tats you've got?

I love mandala tattoos. Would love to see a pic of what you get. I didn't know that you could buy stuff to put on tattoos to keep them looking nice. I only have the 1 tattoo but I don't like it much as it was an impulsive one when I was 18 :o

Hope you had a good holiday Dolly and that you have a good break too Mcculloch

Welcome back Willowbee I am inspired to do some toiletries maths of my own now, will have to have a look through my stash!
