No, not tried Sleek, but have read some good reviews.

As I have got older I have lost confidence wearing eye shadow, so have bought some palettes to experiment with, I let my hair go grey and I love it (it looks as if I have highlights of two shades of mid/darker grey on a silvery base), always getting asked where I get it coloured:D then I had some bright pink highlights added which have almost faded out now. The reason for the wittering is that I need to find new colours that suit fair skin, hazel eyes and grey hair with cool colouring, plus the fact that I have decided not to grow old gracefully and wear a lot more colour in my clothes now I don't have to wear office wear.

I would say cooler complexions are good with warm colours and vice versa, perhaps a light honey brown similar to this but perhaps with more of a golden or coppery tone?

If in doubt ALWAYS go for the lighter shade if you're choosing between two shades, HTH.

EDIT: Sorry, I completely misread that, you're not asking about hair colour are you?! :rotfl:

Eye colours, I have hazel eyes but with dark hair and my favourite eyeshadow shades are - in this order - bluebell/lilac, aqua or turquoise blue and light to mid green. I find gold brings out the gold flecks and green brings out the green.

Agree, don't want to sidetrack this thread, but the problem is that the new "rules" apply only to NEW ingredients/products. A lot of the brands I love don't test, but the ingredients have been. I will use all that I have (a lot) and then when I need to replace try and seek out better choices for me.

I read it and tbh i didn't see that bit but with people bringing out new formulas all the time, hopefully it won't be long before everything's up to scratch.

errr, no:rotfl:, but it was a lovely thought:A

I have been wearing greys and mauvey colours which look good, but want to try blues and greens. Gold and copper used to not suit me when I was brunette, but I am really looking to experimenting. I think that I ought to buy some new brushes too for eye make-up, Real Techniques seem to get good reviews and are not very costly.

I will have an IN later, from Boots again, I wanted to use a 25% off coupon to try that new orangey Soap & Glory body wash, I'm hoping it's similar to the long-lamented and long-gone iFoam, which I loved and which they 'replaced' with Foam Call, which is nothing like iFoam was :(

NEW S&G body wash you say? What IS this wonder you speak of?!?

I've been away for a couple of days 'holiday' to an 'octohut' it was nice, however, we had to come home today (would have stayed tonight too) as I had a dentist appointment :(.

You'd think, going away, I'd be able to UU some travel size products at least, no, I come back with more!

INS: my Elemis TSV. (Which was chucked over my fence and had been there since yesterday, but the delivery guy still thought it right to also chuck a (delayed) Next order over there too today)

    Ciate neon pink polish set
Ciate polish in a diamond-y glittery shade
    Radox shower smoothies mini
    Pantene light shampoo mini
Avene cleansing water, this was £4 in a boots clearance, no idea if its a good price or not. Edited to add: ooh its £15.99 on amazon!

An IN. A!di have brought out a new shampoo and conditioner as a dupe of L'Oreal Elvive Triple Resist. This is the one in the black and pink packaging. I got the conditioner as I need a separate one to UU the not so efficient 2 in 1 shampoos I have.
Thank you for the mention of the shops (JTF?) that had Schwarzkopf Gliss on offer but I don't think we have that chain up here.

Like all their shampoo/conditioner dupes (Elvive, Tresemme, Pantene, Herbal Essences, Wash & Go) A!di helpfully put their products in the same colour and shape of bottles as the originals so that you can spot them easily. Someone shopping at the same time as me the other week told me that their Tresemme dupe is every bit as good as the original.

Price for the Elvive dupes is 99p for 250ml across the range.
The Pantene dupes are 75p for 300ml, Wash & Go dupe ditto, the Herbal Essences dupes are on a reduction at 99p for 400ml, and Tresemme dupes £1.99 for 1 litre.

It would be great if they did SLS free dupes, but it hasn't happened yet.

I THINK they're on 3 for 2 in Boots, I bought the face and eye starter sets and have added a couple of brushes in but that's it, I love them, best thing to clean them with is No7 cleansing water, DO NOT get the No7 brush cleaner as it is horrid on RT brushes!

ive asked him to text me the name later. wondering if someone has recently got her this new one and hes only just noticed it but because shed always had the pink he seems to think thats her fave.

Quite a few ins for me today:

2 x Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliners in nude and colbalt blue - not actually over impressed with either of these - the nude is really yellow and looks strange on me and the blue isn't that pigmented on the waterline.

Ardell falsies - glue looks a bit rubbish so might buy some different

2 x hair dye - necessary and none in stash Schwartzkopf XXL in Real Red

    Bourjois loose rice powder

Bourjois velvet liquid lipstick = amazing

    Then a Boots order:

    1x Garnier Micellar Water
2x Boots Time Delay Micellar Water
    1x Nivea Micellar Water

Trying to replace my beloved Bioderma!

I find it hard to believe that such big brands like Lancôme tests on animals but I think 'certified cruelty free' ones have to ensure that EVERYTHING is cruelty free whereas Lancôme etc may not be able to guarantee it that the ingredients ate cruelty free, though the end porduct may be and hopefully is at least. I don't want to start a discussion off though, at least not in this thread as it's a very emotive subject.

There has been an EU-wide ban for over a year though according to this.....

    http://os.care2.com/care2/#!/entry/eu-cosmetics-testing-ban-begins-will-the-us-ever-follow,527cf8c9025312186c80e9b7

I think the thing is that big companies also sell their products in China where products/ingredients MUST be tested on animals before being allowed to be put on sale. Until there is a global ban the big companies aren't going to be 100% cruelty-free as, unfortunately, they're more money minded than ethical
