I ALWAYS find I'm disappointed with Avon polishes, they look good in the book but are rubbish to apply and chip within an hour! Admittedly I haven't tried their gels but if their other polishes are anything to go by, I'd steer clear! No more unnecessary toiletries Feb 2014 INS: 24 UU: 13. Mar 2014. Happy Birthday Catriona.
The Avon Skin so Soft that is good for insects is the original one in the green spray bottle.
I went cycling last night and there were loads of midges, I went through several clouds of them at speed and they felt like grit when they hit me.
Sorry for not quoting people I am a bit pushed for time but re the deodorant I didn't find the compressed cans lasted quite as long but not too bad overall. I prefer roll ons or sticks, the product all goes where it is supposed to not all round the room and they last longer so less waste packaging. I know the aerosol cans are recyclable but if they last less time then more are produced which costs the environment.
I have a uu
Ren F10 Smooth & Renew Mask - 15ml, this is very much like the Glycolactic mask which I prefer. WNBADebt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Another (unexpected) UU
No 8/ boots extracts mango body wash 200ml. This is a HG item so WDBA (I only buy these in the sale though) I have more in the stash for nowNo more unnecessary toiletries Feb 2014 INS: 24 UU: 13. Mar 2014. INS: lost count, naughty step for me! UU: 80 -
So new PP list time:-
LE C&P
TBS Seaweed Cleanser
Marc Jacobs Honey shower gel
Marc Jacobs Honey body lotion
L'Occitane Shea butter hand cream
The two cleansers are full size but the last three items are smaller but I don't have anything else that's spluttering at the mo.
I have two UUs from my above list:-
LE C&P HG cleanser for me and Emma. I only have 3 x 30ml tubes in the stash now and gave one to Emma to pack for Iceland. My intention is to use a Burts Bees cleanser over the course of next week while I'm off work and away and then help her UU the C&P on her return.
TBS Seaweed cleanser. Nice product but WNBA. I much prefer Elemis Lime Blossom Balancing Cleanser.Catriona_P wrote: »What not even in the Hunger Games? He's great in that, he's exactly how I pictured his character to be.
I forgot that he was in that film. To be fair I wasn't very impressed by it and haven't bothered to watch the second one. Didn't read the books either.Well after everthing I ended up watching it on catch up! It's just in time as we have just finished Breaking Bad (which was amazing).
Val -Only seen 3 episodes of True Detective. Have four recorded to watch. Really liking it so far and it seems to be heading to a really dark place.
As sad as this sounds I am still getting over the end of Breaking Bad and haven't really found anything to watch that matches it.
We only have the last episode of True Detective to watch now.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

*skulks in, looking sheepish*
I only parked at John Lewis because it was convenient. I want going to buy anything. Honestly. But then I entered the store right next to the beauty department and my favourite lady was working at Estee Lauder and… and…

In full??? How much did you buy? Totally not your fault though - was the shopping fairies. They made you buy it0 -
OK, I will start with the 'good' stuff before I consign myself to the naughy step...
UU #56: Garnier Minerals Invisicalm Roll On 50ml; WBA, cheap and stops me honking, what more can you ask?!
UU #57: Aquafresh Whitening Toothpaste 100ml pump; WBA, but my Poundland seems to have stopped stocking thisNo more stashed either.
UU #58: Tesco Freshmint Toothpaste 100ml; WBA, my boys like this as it's mild. Replaced with same from stash.
UU #59: Sainsburys Anti Dandruff Shampoo 250ml; WBA, this is DH's. Replaced with same from stash.
GA #5: MUA Primer; this must have been in my stash for a couple of years, it was fine but as my skin is so dry, I don't really need to use primer. Gave it to DD for her to try as she is 15 and a little bit oily skinned.
And that's when things started to go wrong...
IN #19: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Cool Bone, 30ml; I am feeling so poo about my skin at the moment, I don't want to look awful in our holiday snaps and I know this covers anything and everything. I can't afford it, really, which makes the next one even more of an unnecessary purchase.
IN #20: Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer in Light, 7ml; This is by far and away the most expensive concealer I have ever bought at £21  it says it all when it makes MAC look cheap in comparison! I expect to look fifteen years younger the moment I apply it or I will demand a refund
These two purchases entitled me to a GWP. So..!
IN #21: Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Moisturiser 15ml
IN #22: Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Eye Cream 5ml
IN #23: Estee Lauder Take It Away Cleanser 30ml
IN #24: Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair 7ml
IN #25: Estee Lauder Lip Conditioner
IN #26: Estee Lauder Pure Colour Shimmer Lipstick in Candy
IN #27: Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara 2.8ml
These all came in a makeup bag, and I was given a sample of their new fragrance too
IN #28: Estee Lauder Modern Muse EDP 1.5ml
To be fair, I spent £49.50 for everything listed above and the small skincare items will be excellent for our hols. And that was me finished shopping, right?! Naaah :rotfl:
IN #29: Rituals Shanti Shower Soothing Shower Oil 200ml; I already have a shower paste and a foaming shower gel in this scent so this was completely, utterly and indubitably unnecessary.
IN #30: Colgate Max White Toothpaste 100ml
IN #31: Colgate Advanced White Toothpaste 100ml; I bought these to try to see if they upset my tongue, which a lot of toothpaste does.
IN #32: Soft & Gentle Wild Rose Roll On 50ml; for hols
IN #33-36: Dove Original Beauty Bar, 100g; I didn't need these, I already have 4 stashed. I think I was past caring by this stage.
I make that 18 INS in one day. And to think, it was all going so (relatively) well :wall:0 -
Naughty FizzWhizz.
I am feeling pleased with myself - 1/3 of the way through April and not one in. I can see a difference in the amount of stuff I have and like someone else said I feel great satisfaction when a bottle goes in the recycling.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
