Really sad to read this thread and hope that you don't give into this bully and keep on going Csarina. I don't post often but do enjoy reading the threads especially Old Style as there is usually such a good vibe. Please carry on posting and hopefully this nastiness will disappear as that's what bullies usually do if they don't get a reaction.0

Don't leave Csarina! Don't let the troll win! On a couple of occasions I have wanted to leave, when the daily was being attacked (I was feeling down at the time and didn't post for a while as I couldn't cope with all the bad feeling at the time) but I am glad I stayed and look how much support there is for JackieO and Penny Pincher and others when they need it, makes it quite a special place to visit. Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Csarina - I'm really sorry to read about this coz MSE has been such a help n support to all of us and for a small minority to ruin that is just disgusting.
I sometimes have a break from MSE because I've become obsessed and need to concentrate on day to day crap but all the PM's I've ever had have been sooooo helpful and supportive and appreciated. It's really upsetting to think that some b**tards should be able to stop this - especially when we've got to know and love u virtually - if u see what I mean.

I can't believe that people abuse the PM function. What kind of bored, pathetic, loser would do something like this?
I've only ever had lovely PMs and appreciate the function.
Please don't let it put you off the huge number of MSErs who enjoy reading your posts.0 -
Csarina, don't let unpleasant PMs make you leave.
If you go, it'll mean that the nasty PMs you've had really outweigh all the good things that you get from this website....and reading your post above, i can't believe that is true.

Thank you for all the support, the person concerned knows who they are and I hope they feel ashamed of themselves. This is not the first time this has happened..........some people cannot take advice however well meant it is without taking offence.......I try to accept what is pertanant to me and ignore the rest, but this I cannot .............
All I have ever tried to do on this forum is pass on advice as to what I do, whether the other contributers take that advice is up to them. As a person who belongs to the third age, our income is fixed, I abhore waste of any kind and am always looking to reduce our wastage, and for more thrifty ways of doing things, I have often taken up some of the really good tips one finds on the OS thread. My experience is born out of being brought up in the war, and also being on a very tight budget when I was first married. As time went by and our children married our disposable income went up and for a while I did fall off the wagon, but had to climb back on very rapidly when OH was forced to take early retirement and we were faced with having to pay two loans. Thankfully we are coming to the end of them now and believe me the cash will be going into a savings pot so we can once again enjoy a holiday or buy something we need without having to think more than twice about where the money is coming from.
One thing the OP accused me of was telling lies, as it was not possible to eat healthily for less than £25 a week....I know a great many of you would take issue with that comment.
I am going to take a break from posting, although I may well read the board from time to time.............
so adios for now.......................and thank you....................
Please don't let Elle whatever her name is drive you away - she really isn't worth it as she obviously decided to take umbrage at remarks which weren't even addressed to her. Perehaps in time she will be able to tell the difference between a humourously phrased remark addressed to a regular poster and a piece of vicious personal abuse such as she has sent to you. Please don't let her ignorance and aggression deprive the rest of us of your contributions.0 -
Hi Csarina
If you do read this and haven't left, i would implore you not to let one instance ruin your experience of our forums. It is clear from this thread you are a valued member with a lot of support and we certainly don't want to lose you.
Please forward any PM you feel is abusive to us (abuse@moneysavingexpert.com) and we will look into it for you. Please refrain from posting the contents of a PM on the forum (however tempting that might seem) as it usually only makes a situation worse.

Dont let a bully get you down. Bullies are everywhere, it is just a power trip for them to be nasty to others. Please report it for everybodies sake as they could do it to other people if they are not stopped

I believe that was me who made that suggestion when there was a huge debate on the why's-wherefores-can-do's of the daily thread. I don't think I told people off, but I did suggest it and the logistics behind suggesting it
