I'm in if I can please?

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and now on my first day of maternity leave (scary after working for 18 years!!!)

    SK x

I just had a flashback to being very pregnant with DS2, my bump was SO big I had to stand sideways to wash up, I couldn't reach if I was bump-on to the sink  He was the tiddliest of my babies too!
Welcome :) and be kind to yourself, don't fly too hard.

I have spend this morning emptying the kitchen cupboards either side of the old WM in preparation for the arrival of the new one :T JL have given a delivery window of between 2 and 9pm, what are the odds that they arrive while I'm out collecting DS2?! Will leave DS1 here just in case, I think they're supposed to ring half an hour before arrival anyway. I have left the broom, D&B and the mop at the ready to clean under the old machine, it's too heavy for me to pull out so it hasn't been cleaned underneath in a very long time. I'm prepared to be disgusted.

And if that wasn't exciting enough :D my new vacuum should be here in about an hour :j Carpets are minging, I'm anticipating a full dust bag by the end of the day.

  • Morning all. I'm here again this week. Thank you for the threads x
Hugs to anyone that needs them as I never managed to catch up over the weekend as was none stop here.
I need to get started on today. Want to get it at least looking a bit better before the dc break up and undo all my work.
    So far this morning...
Dragged myself out of bed (the pup decided she no longer likes sleeping in the kitchen and barked all night) and ds2 has been singing since about 3am.

Spent 20 mins hunting for dd1 uniform as she put it in wash Friday (my dad was here to collect her when I asked her to go check it was in the wash, so I know I hadn't gone mad) after not finding it, went to her room and pulled it out from down the side of her bed:mad:

Did all lunch boxes, must try to do these the night before!

Fought with dd2+3 who both refused to get out of bed and ready but we were just on time for school.

Came back had breakfast and watched Jeremy Kyle for the first time in years. As well as the list I need to sort the pots and the mountain of washing. The floor will be done a few times as our older dog has finally come into season. She can now be spayed.

God awful stainless steel kitchen bin scrubbed inside and out, and polished. I hate this almost as much as I hate my coffee table

    Hi everyone,

Can I join in too please? I work full time Mon-Fri, so i do my cleaning on an evening when possible and a more thorough clean at the weekend.
  • Wow everyone up so early! My body still an hour behind!

Washed denim in dettol yesterday - now smells OK but don't know if thats the dettol or the combination of washes (including vinegar) before.

It's glass; two levels, top is clear and shows up every single fingerprint, lower layer is black and shows up every single speck of dust. And it has chrome legs which are impossible to polish and get streak free. Suffice it to say, DH chose it :p

Vacuum has arrived and has already had its maiden voyage :D I was kinda joking about the full dustbag but after having had a quick vac through, the bag is already half full! _pale_ Just goes to show how much dust my old one was leaving behind.

It only came with one bag so I best get ordering some more...
