  • Morning all - thank you for the lists Natty and Dusty - Dusty so sad to hear your news - can't stop thinking about the children.

    Welcome to all newbies.

Busy and short week this week so may just have to go off my own list. Did a huge cupboard in kitchen on Saturday - emptied, cleaned sorted and replaced in better order. Now DH can't find anything!!!

Hugs sticks and spoons to all needing them - you know who you are.

Have a good day everyone. xx

I'm in if I can please?

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and now on my first day of maternity leave (scary after working for 18 years!!!). The house has gone to pot over the last few months as I was finding it impossible to hold a full time job then do housework when I got home. Everything takes me an age so hoping that just keeping on top of a little bit a day will result in a house that i'm not ashamed to let people into

    15 minutes...
    Clear and wipe worksurfaces
Scrub down the front of units and large appliances
    30 minutes to spare...
Sweep and mop the floor (may only manage to sweep this but will see how I do)
    Wipe and replace small appliances
    Clean oven and hob
[STRIKE]Wash windows and sills[/STRIKE] (no windows in kitchen)

    Morning all and welcome newbies

DS2 is 18 today, subdued affair as he is still feeling sick, GP this week I think.

Just having breakfast then shower, shopping and paid stuff.

Morning all, welcome to all new-folks and welcome back returners. Thanks for the list this week Natty. I had to go to Sheffield to see my consultant on Friday and it always cleans me out. We had 2 budgies that over-ate and 1 of them really struggled to fly, doing a fair impression of a feathery brick and that is the kind of flying going on here but must try to get bottom in gear as going on hols on Friday (yippee).
Sending hugs and healing vibes Skinty and anyone else who needs them.
Fab playhouse Bossy, doesn't look too big in the photo and is very pretty.
Good news about the neighbours Pigpen, any sign of new ones yet?
I don't know about being mad Valli? If working late means you will feel more organised and less stressed going into a new week, maybe it is worth it? It's a shame that you aren't better appreciated for it though.

Thank you! a quick google has turned up the Felix model which gets excellent reviews and should fit our needs very well.
You are welcome, Fizz. I'm liking the look of the Felix.

    Good morning all
Welcome to all Newbies and Returners, and to sexki11en's FlyBump.
Happy birthday to Dusty's DS2 - hope the GP can sort him out; better luck next time with the driving test.

Thanks Jazee, my migraine is still grumbling on, but I am ignoring it as much as possible I have been out digging the garden since 7 o'clock this morning - have cleared and manured the new hellebores border, and as soon as the carpenter/OJM has put up a trellis for me tomorrow, I shall plant it all up :D Once I've made some phonecalls and finished my :coffee: I'm going back out to clear some more border and re-home the bluebells along the wall at the back. They may not flower this year after being moved in bud, but they will doubtless recover by next spring. I also have millions of crocuses to plant out. Any bulbs that I haven't got room for will find their way into the woods opposite ;)

DH is going to do another coat of the sunshine emulsion in the utility this morning. I'm out this afternoon on a course (no, I don't play golf!) and this evening we have our AGM at the Old Wives Group: I have a funny feeling that I'm going to end up as Secretary.

The house was tidied and dusted yesterday before DS1 brought the DGDs round to see us, so I can safely ignore other flying today.

Hope everyone has a good week. (((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round.

    Hello again everyone,
I was doing so well with using this thread to help me keep my house semi-acceptable before Christmas, no idea what happened.
But anyway, back on the wagon this week :)
Mum came over on Saturday so OH and I did lots of cleaning so the house is in a good place to be brave and start flying again.
I've put the breadmaker on, picked up a few bits of obvious clutter and will now start to tackle todays list. Must do last nights washing up first...
