:j:j:jYaay Skinty!:j:j:j so relieved for you!

And Auntie Sceb thanks for your Pinterest link, I'm going to have a browse tonight :D

We've had a really nice day at home. We made twinks this morning, then the kiddies played on scooters while I put the Lino in their little house. Then we set it up as a cafe :D so we have the toy kitchen, little table and chairs and the cash register out there. They've had a ball! It really needs a "mind your head" sign (for me) - ask me how I know :rotfl:. Then friends came to play, and after tea DS asked to do painting  he never asks to do craft stuff! So they did me some very colourful stuff, including a map to the airport in case we get lost :p
    Then we watched Peter Pan.

I've even kept on top of the kitchen grot today! Did a Mr T order tonight and checked my clubcard account to find £11.50 of unused vouchers :money: hurrah!

Still haven't stripped my bed yet

Ah well. Pinterest here I come!

Flying slowed down a bit. My nice old ndn's son popped around to tell me she died this morning aged 95 x

    Sorry to hear that x

Sceb - Hope you don't mind, but I've started following you on pinterest :o Loving the crafting pins :D

    Skint - :j:T:j:T:j

Yesterday I managed to get all my errands done in the morning and then cleaned the house in the afternoon with DD's help :D Best bit was popping into AgeUK shop about 10am to ask if they could come and collect my donations, then they turned up (after calling to check I'd be in) at 2.30 and removed 5 boxes of old toys/books etc, 4 binbags of clothing/household stuff and a binbag of rags :j My room looks so much better :rotfl:

I still ended up doing laundry and sorting DD's birthday stuff out until 3am this morning. She was made up with her gifts, cake, the decorations, and had great fun when family came around to see her :D Tomorrow we get to go to my sisters and celebrate my nephews 1st birthday.

    Jobs left to do:
Sort out left over cake (some ready sliced in the freezer to be wrapped up)
Wrap nephews gifts & write cards
    Wash up (after breakfast)
    Ironing

Off to watch the end of my film then go to bed. All alarms are going off until 11am ;)
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Had a lovely day cooking today and managed to keep up with all the WUDUPA as I went along thank goodness. Cleaned out/sorted out both freezers and the fridge - so now fridge full of stuff cooling down enough to freeze tomorrow and put in the spaces I made in the freezers :T Good Grief - feeling faint - starting to sound a bit organised, definite touch of something strange :rotfl:

GOING TO HAVE A ME DAY TOMORROW - YIPPEE !!!!!

Will hopefully be ready to get back on treadmill again Monday ;)

Thank you for all your kind posts......I have got my backside into gear to start reverting the Skint Pitz back to the Skint Ritz to try and get a head run on my NZ birth family visit next Sunday (I haven't been to bed yet, just trying to catch up on a bit of my own R&R now I have stopped worrying on the big C)

found 2 stray DW tablets in utility - they have been put to immediate use
cooker hood, tiles and worksurfaces all done again
kitchen sinks had a nice long bleach bath
hotspots in my room all cleared
all bedside cupboards, chest of drawers x3 all wiped over tops, sides and fronts
new battery in bedroom clock (it was stuck at 6.30 for over 3 weeks!)
TV, Sky, DVD and video all dusted and polished, including remotes and dangly wires
all the flower vases dusted ....fished out offending items that have made their way into the potpourri (broken crayons, odd pennies that kind of thing)
    polished the wall telephone
turned over the calendar for this month.....now that I CBA
hoovered my BR 3 times today with the crevice tool (thanks to DS and his snacks!)
window frames and sills - wiped over front and back of BR
my nice vanilla candle jars from the Swedish Shop have been defluffed (baby wipe is only thing I found that does this without gunking up)

my ensuite has be decluttered of recycling
some limescale given a good blast on sink, thoroughly cleaned and buffed up with a towel
    mirror cleaned
    towels re-stacked neatly
    steam mopped the floor

airing cupboard tidied and re-folded Anthea style

DS/DD2 room de-gibbled, floordrobe removed and hoovered, including crevice tool
dusted and wiped all bedside cupboards and chest of drawers
all bedding slung in WM, pegged out and then IRONED

    Hallway hoovered and lightswitch polished

Main bathroom, steam mopped, sink and bath cleaned and buffed Anthea style including the dreaded side panel. Mirrors, towel rail and shaver socket all buffed up
shower cubicle cleaned including a nice soak in limescale remover.
All door and drawer fronts AND kickboards all wiped and buffed.
All the wall tiles cleaned (floor to ceiling so it was no mean feat!)

DD3 was instructed to clear her pit....floordrobe gone, bed stripped, WM and pegged out, but not ironed but back on for tonight (although she is here in my bed with DS and me.....I guess it her way of saying she is happy I am ok)

Computer room degibbled of stray clothes and plates and bits.

Found some relevant voluntary work for DD1 and DD2 to do when they are home for the summer and also some none relevant but cash paying jobs to help them over the summer ...otherwise I will be eaten out of house and home

Talking of which DD1 is now Skyping me, so I bid you all g'night and I will catch up on new Fred
The cold never bothered me anyway

    Good morning all

Skinty, I am worn out with just reading your post and would collapse back into bed if I could!

Well done nicki and pigpen on your CS flinging.

LW, how are the Princesses doing?

Froddy, enjoy your Italian trip: I'm sure it will be very emotional but also very exciting.

It's raining here, due to continue almost all day, so I think my time for gardening and painting the trellis panels will be severely restricted :( I did manage to paint the 2"x2" posts for the front garden and all the bits in the back garden yesterday afternoon, though - so halfway there

    Today I must
    - sort till receipts (some need to be kept for guarantees)
    - file papers that are currently strewn across the single bed in this room
    - finish working on some photos and notices for the church board
    - replace the red ink cartridge on the printer and print them all out
    - laminate them
    - re-cover the board and mount them after the service
    - WMx1 including the duvet cover
    - clear the rest of the room and make it DGS-safe
    - phonecalls to about 20 people (short calls re new U3A group)
    - clean 2 bedrooms, ensuite, kitchen, LR and downstairs loo
    - get DH to clean utility and back porch :p
    - go to friend's for :coffee: and to pick up more plants from her garden :D
    - paint trellises if the rain stops for long enough

That should be enough for one day!

(((Hugs))), spoons, sticks and good weather wishes to all.

Aw Bossy I want to come round and play at your house, sounds fantastic.

The cold has fully developed now and I didnt sleep very well. Going to try and have a quiet day today as I am on my own in the office at work this week and really dont want to be ill.

DS2 went into town yesterday to meet some friends, OH was picking him up as we only have one car (and a van that I hate driving). So OH went to watch a football match, got talking to someone and forgot the time! To make it worse DSs phone had gone flat. Poor kid was standing there in the market place for half an hour before he had decided to walk to a friends and ask to use the phone. The friends Mum brought him home. So we had one slightly teary 13 yo and one very very sorry OH last night. While all this was going on I was going frantic at home as I couldnt get hold of OH on his mobile.

Off to tidy up our finances now and do some spreadsheets. Have a good Sunday all.
