Managed to get the patio rearranged and hosed down. It now looks lovely. I need a new table though as ours is falling apart. Still more to do tomorrow if the weather holds.

Another week to go here...and just to add to the 'pleasure'of it all I have an observation, will be checked up on in a learning walk and have (insert expletive of choice) assessments to do.
DS is home - been to fethc him. I cleaned his loo and basin. He seemed to think this was pointless as they 'will just get dirty'. They must have vicious dust in Manchester then, given his roomis his and his alone:rotfl:. Mancy bathroom bleached - (hope you saw what I did there;))Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Good news bad news.....good news it's not Paget's disease or cancer :j:beer::j bad news I still have to have surgery to remove lump once I get DD4 off the B00biesgood news again..surgery is not time critical so I can still go ahead with my jaw surgery as planned and then get this done and I will get to keep half of the milk spout (trying to keep ahead of the auto moderators on this one!)
Bad news, because of poor family history in this area I need to keep on checking the puppies regularly and come back asap if this lump changes before I am ready to commit to its removal, or indeed if I find any new lumps, bumps, puckering or anything else that doesn't feel right.
Mammogram and ultrasounds were done to rule out anything sinister at this time, so they now have a good baseline for *when* they expect to see me again.
Took some quite time after to process everything, got DS and DD4 from nursery. Managed to get them to bed and asleep by 9 which is almost unheard of for DS. Then flying went a bit like this
opened a weeks worth of post I had been ignoring
recycled all wasted envelopes and junk mail
filed papers appropriately
WUDUPA again as I forgot to go into supermarket to DW tabs
kitchen work surfaces all cleaned
bin bag dance around upstairs and downstairs
dirty clothes fling
hoover kitchen, LR, DR and hallway
hoovered both sofas and straightened cushions
cleared mantle again
degibbled my BR
rehomed and recycled a lot of gibble from bottom of both of my wardrobes
and that is it.....oh and watched laptop install a million and one pointless updates for W!ndows
now time for bed........hugs sticks and spoons in the jar and help yourselves to a pint/glass of your favourite poison on me :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:
nighty night :wave:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Great to hear your good news Skint and hope it all continues to go well.Best way to eat one of those massive type of cane toads is the same way you'd eat an elephant - in small bites. I find having quantifiable stages that you can tick off as done helps; you feel you've actually achieved something, even though the whole toad isn't yet dealt with, iyswim.:oFlying slowed down a bit. My nice old ndn's son popped around to tell me she died this morning aged 95 x
Having a cooking spree tomorrow as bought loads of YS meat today and prefer to cook first before I freeze IYSWIM.
Hope you all have a wonderful week-end

And me. Can you catch it off an internet forum?
Fantastic news skinty, you must be so relieved.
Yesterday was manic and even though I have got a bunged up nose and sore throat I slept like a log.
So paid stuff today on job no. 2. I am supposed to do 6-8 hours a week on job number 2 and usually do about 5. I could probably earn an extra £100 a month at this job if I did a bit more. Where is the time though?
Bossy and Auntie Sceb - I have so much respect for you. I am hopeless at anything creative.
Sorry to hear about the ndn Dancemum.
Well, off for a shower. Will try and get settled at my laptop for a few hours this morning. Need to keep the wm going too as there is a huge pile of dirty washing in the bathroom. Have a good Saturday all x0 -
:T:T:T:T:T:T:T: Yay Skinty! That is really good news! I am soooooooo pleased for you and the Young Skints :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:
Dancemum, good people like your NDN live on in our hearts long after they have left us. Enjoy the memories.
Bossy, in case I forget later: I hope you and the Little Moos have a great holiday!
We replaced the bird feeder yesterday evening and re-filled all the food trays and hanging feeders. The blue t!ts have been down this morning, and I spotted a thrush on the big ash tree - so well camouflaged that I only saw him because he moved! I now keep my binoculars at the ready on my desk, there is so much beautiful bird life around here.
The carpenter/OJM made good progress yesterday and I have 8 x 8ft posts and 3 heavy duty trellises to paint with wood preservative later today so that he can build us a new arbour next week.
The garden has plants dotted all round it, still in their pots but ready to be planted out. DS1 has asked if I can look after DGD1+2 for a couple of hours this morning so that he and DDiL can get on with school work. DGD2 is going to sleep in the cot here, and DGD1 will help me with some plantingThen, when DGD1 wakes up, we will go for a walk along the lane and I will give them lunch before returning them to DS1 and DDiL. Not exactly what I had planned for the day, but fun
