My 5.00pm has cancelled, and I've lost a cheque somewhere in the gibble in my office. Sorting, tidying, CS-ing and searching going on here. I'm keeping anyone company who might be flagging today including you Dancemum, because this will take some considerable length of time.

Devil Cat, who is black, loves loves loves clean white synthetic double duvets when they are airing in the sitting room, either draped artistically (I like to think) over the sofa, or the clothes horse. This is known here as 'The Prince and the Pea.' It surely can't be comfortable over the metal bars?
    Better is good enough.

I think I have definitely started eating a long, slow cane toad with the spare room/study. Put all the piles of paperwork/filing to do on the floor to clear desk to work on. Then bit the bullet and totally emptied the tall built-in cupboard - top half all my past coursework and books/household files and banking/other paperwork and bottom half is my food stock/drinks/ kitchen rolls etc. I gave it a good clean top to bottom and washed the paintwork and floor and put all bottom half back. Now will have to start on the rest from tomorrow. Definitely a 'work in progress' and will let you know how I get on.
Best way to eat one of those massive type of cane toads is the same way you'd eat an elephant - in small bites. I find having quantifiable stages that you can tick off as done helps; you feel you've actually achieved something, even though the whole toad isn't yet dealt with, iyswim.:o

I'd hoped by now to be back to my room-a-day regime; but I fear that's not to be just yet. I'm still flaring badly; and tomorrow, the Princesses will be arriving for a 16-day stay,:T so I shall still be flitty-fluttering as and when I can for the time being.:o

I'm sorry to hear that dancemum, I hope her life was as happy as it was long x

    Shopping away
Shower curtains back up, dripping nicely into the bath
Bedding on over-door-airer in the girls room
All the windows flung w-i-d-e open
    Everywhere vacuumed
    Kitchen and bathroom mopped
Painkillers decluttered, thankfully migraine seems to have abated for now
WM loaded ready for uniform and my clothes as soon as we're home from the school run

Still a few bits to do but getting there :)

Absolutely full of cold now, fell asleep on the sofa earlier - so not like me.

Been doing a bit of online banking and online shopping/browsing as I don't feel up to much else tbh.
