Friday - those frightening Friday kids rooms and spare rooms

I'm going to call it Fantastic Friday.

I'm at work 7 - 1 meeting my Mum for lunch after.

But I have no kids or spare rooms!! I do get my new mattress topper and pillows though so my job will be change the bedding in the Master bedroom and make nice and comfy!

Three different dinners cooked, WU done and away, sandwiches prepared for everyone's lunches tomorrow, our BR dusted and tidied. Went for my PBS (pre bed shower) and managed to spill shower gel in the bath as I got out. Waste not, want not, I grabbed the sponge and used the spill to clean the bath and tiles

Standing outside in the pouring rain with soggy slippers having a ciggie; I like to think I'm a big girl but in truth, I'm too scared to tell my dad I have started smoking again I need to have a word with myself!

PS; ironing all done too and two WM loads on the airer

DD just gone to bed in a foul mood as she's had a generally bad day, the teasing in school seems to get to her more the last few days of term. I've told her to report it, but she hasn't. If the teasing continues after the holidays then I'll be getting in touch with her form teacher. It is literally the odd day here and there and the last week of term where she's ready to explode, rest of the time she never mentions anything. Getting soaked on our last rounds tonight probably didn't help, so I bought her crisps and chocolate on the way past the shop which cheered her up slightly. The half an hour in front of Ken Dodd and she was laughing, but the face fell again when she went to get her stuff out for the morning.

Did I get everything done on my plan:

• [STRIKE]write a comprehensive list of what I want to get from Mr A (banners, cake, balloons, magic candles, Easter egg for DDs friend who bought her one & also got her a Christmas gift, bankers box set if there's any left) then go for it.,[/STRIKE]
• [STRIKE]get books prepared ready for DD to put out tonight while I make deliveries (need to buy a new glue stick for sticking notes on if I can't find one in DD's room),[/STRIKE]
• [STRIKE]Check on an items availability for a customer[/STRIKE]
• Work out how much its going to cost to put right a problem for another customer. - partly done.
• [STRIKE]Organise something proper for tea (had chippy last night, and will be having take out Saturday for DDs birthday so should really eat something proper tonight :rotfl: )[/STRIKE] Ended up with cheesy pasta...must do better
• Update my accounts (Chq for school, card payments)
• Watch the last season of Will & Grace on @mazon instant while working so I can cancel the subscription and save £6 a month
• Write my list of things I need to do tomorrow (bank, Ag3UK, card shop for DD's birthday card ) as it needs to be done in the morning as DD finishes at 12 tomorrow!
• Sort out paying in book for tomorrow, after work.
• Update work accounts, after work,
• Find £5, after work, to give to DD for lunch tomorrow as a reward for almost 100% attendance. She's only had 1 week off under doctors orders so I'm allowing that :rotfl: only adding this as I'll forget otherwise
• Crawl into bed and try to sleep while I remember all the things I should be/have done

Right, I'm already in my pjs but I best get the rest of this list sorted so I know where I'm working tomorrow! I also need to prepare an extra book (got a new customer tonight ), print the main list off since I'll have the printer on anyway, note the notes from the mirrors down in my diary so they can be cleaned properly, charge my laptop so I can do the accounts, and probably a 101 other things Time for Will & Grace while I do admin stuff. Back later :wave:

Today has been a gentle flutter......I have some hard core cleaning to do after some mishaps from today...at some point when I have some help I need to vax my mattress and my BR carpet, a surprise cuppa was kindly made by DD3 and put within grabbing distance of DD4 (the first I knew of the cuppa existence was the sound of pouring liquid....luckily DD4 didn't pour any on herself or me!) The laptop charger was plugged in and got wet (now wiped down and drying off in airing cupboard for a few days) but the laptop itself escaped and the trailing socket that runs alongside is now binned.


Run out of DW supplies (I thought I had loads) so WUDUPA by hand (don't like it at all) so tonight's stuff is waiting for some DW tablets for tomorrow.


WM x 4, TD x 4.......strangely I am missing a LOT of washing.....DS has 21 pairs of socks and pants (all with days of the week on) I have 3 complete pairs of socks, and umpteen stragglers and 4 pairs of pants. DD4 is missing a load of babygros....I asked DD3 if she hid a basket of dirty washing anywhere when her Dad was coming to visit and she said no.....but all the washing baskets are empty....very strange


DS's nursery has been making chocolate easter eggs today and so as DS is lactose intolerant I promised him he could make some icing fondant animals using cookie cutters ......I need to find some spoons from somewhere to attend to the remainder of that mess.


Bins have been emptied and put out through the course of the evening.

Spent 30 mins this morning pulling up all the big weeds on the driveway and around the front door of the house (ready for birth family to come Sunday 13th)


Done my cancer family history form ready for tomorrow and read through all the leaflets, pretty much what I knew already, but at least there are no nasty surprises. I might even by able to get Cell Test results the same day as I am having quite an early appointment, so that should cut down the amount of time I can stew myself round and round.


I tried to set light to the bonfire that has been out in my garden since the height of summer but it won't take (need to get my box of secure destruction out for kindling and try another night)


used some of the whoopsie stickers to make a slow pot of stew.......meat is still tough right now (but it was uber cheap, so by morning it should be edible) and I might have to portion it up for the youngest Skints for lunch at nursery tomorrow as their Pizzas I cooked were not removed from the oven promptly as DD3 promised she would and resemble something that you could build a house with


Now have to go and make my bed up, try and get some shut eye and then get everyone up, dressed, fed and slung out of the door by 8 so I can drop off at nursery and be at hospital for 9.30.

DH's KH has finally dropped off DSS, only an hour and ten minutes late :mad: DH should be home within the hour, he has been out to a black tie dinner tonight, he looked very swish when he left. Suspect I'll be snoring (literally ) by the time he gets back.

Well I think DH must have picked up my :mad: vibes last night as he got up this morning and did all the washing up - result
So I gave all the fronts/faces/bunkers a good wipe-down, cleaned the cooker hob and washed the floor. That's one clean room anyway Also did a lovely slow-roast lamb dinner.


I think I have definitely started eating a long, slow cane toad with the spare room/study. Put all the piles of paperwork/filing to do on the floor to clear desk to work on. Then bit the bullet and totally emptied the tall built-in cupboard - top half all my past coursework and books/household files and banking/other paperwork and bottom half is my food stock/drinks/ kitchen rolls etc. I gave it a good clean top to bottom and washed the paintwork and floor and put all bottom half back. Now will have to start on the rest from tomorrow. Definitely a 'work in progress' and will let you know how I get on.


Had a phone-call to cover a MS tomorrow so will probably get some shopping as well if I'm out to make use of the time. Must do a freezer dive first to check supplies for week-end

List is printing as I type. Each room on a separate sheet so I can stick it to the door which will hopefully stop DD coming to me every 2 seconds to ask whats next :rotfl:
