    Good evening everyone

not got much done today as I felt a bit "under the weather" this morning struggled into work and had to give in and have a nap this afternoon :( managed to get up and make tea (mince and tatties scottish style yummy) kitchen tidyied and dw on though so hey ho little victories

Sending positive vibes and hugs to all in need especially Mrs LW for tomorrow and well done mummyroys 3......... sexki11en you need to rest now before baby arrives, at least that's what we were told back in the old days :) sorry if I missed anyone xx MM
  • lurking and resting my wings today....DS has been swimming and a quick play at the park....tried to sort out Student Finance for DD2 for next year, texted DD1 to tell her to log on to Student Finance too, a quick sticker hunt in Mr M and Mr T, I think I was a little premature tonight, no 9p bargains for Skinty tonight although 3 toffee cheesecakes for 18p in MrT wasn't too shabby.

2 big baskets have disappeared from Mt Foldmore, but I have quite a lot more to attend to.

DW needs loading but I have just got showered and cleaned, so I think it can wait until morning.......wait it will be morning in 10 minutes...well at a more sensible hour then.

BTW a nice treat for the senses, I picked up some fun smelling antibacterial handwash BOGOF in Mr T.....chocolate orange [STRIKE]flavour[/STRIKE] scented.....I got the cola bottle and strawberry laces scented ones from MrM week before last for DS, to make sure the little terror keeps up with his hand washing. he also washes his glasses in them every morning so they smell like cola bottles and he happily keeps them on his face going to nursery :p I am not averse to bribing his senses to be compliant little boy that i know he can be!

right bed or pottering...I just need to pick one and run with it....nighty night flyladies and flygents
The cold never bothered me anyway

Good luck - always a bit scary eh the first day at something.

See you in a bit and keep eating those frogs - very impressed by the progress being made this week and by those eating tadpoles.
    .
Sorry if a bit thick but eating 'frogs' and 'tadpoles' ???

Well I didn't get either if the 2 per any positions but got offered a temp job for next term so I'm very happy with that. I am going tomorrow to meet the staff and provide my id so I'm familiar with the school before next term
Hey - great news and it might turn out for the best in the long term anyway

Sorry but need to let off steam. I did accounts today, tidied bedroom and bathroom, did some work online, cooked and served dinner and went to work. DH had day off - had an interview and little shop at Li*l and nothing else - and when I came home from work washing-up etc still sitting in kitchen  There, I feel better now.

Well - I'm going to bite the bullet and tomorrow I start on the biggest mess of spare room I've ever seen  If you don't hear from me for a couple of days please send help  The rest of the list will have to go on hold for now as this is now URGENT.

Hope you all have a tidy Thursday

lynnejk. - Frogs, something you have been putting off for a long time/dreading doing. Tadpoles, something starting to turn into a frog. Cane toad, something you've been putting off forever. Eat one in the morning and it is the worst thing that can happen that day ;-)

The stupid thing is that it's normally something that takes minimal time once you GOYA and finally do it. As demonstrated by the curtains.

    Hope that helps

Hope the doctors has gone OK today LW and they were nice to you.

Lynne, sounds like your OH is like mine. Sigh.

Skint, love the idea of your boy with cola scented glasses!

So its paid stuff this morning, then will nip home, take the dog for a quick leg stretch and off to voluntary job.

Feeling tired this morning and a bit like I might be getting a cold.

Oh and a little confession, I went to rub a mark off the bathroom tiles last night when I was cleaning and realised the tiles high up were filthy. I do the tiles around the bath, loo and sink regularly but its been a while since I washed them all down. Need to get the stepladders to reach the highest ones so thats a priority job!

Have a good day all x
  • Morning all - thanks for good wishes for vol job yesterday.

:) It went well everyone so friendly - no visitors though ( it's a local - ish museum) so time to try and learn the duties:eek: One day next week with trainer then I'm on my own:eek::eek:. Good news is that as I stood for approx three hours have magically lost 2.5 lbs this morning!!!:rotfl:Not sure there is a connection but if it happens next week am going to make myself a standing laptop desk!

    Hope all are well today.

LW - re dr appt. well done hope it goes OK - I keep on putting mine off :o

Lynne - it is better to get things off your chest and we are very supportive of each other here - hope today goes well.

Have a humungous list today so will probably not post until much later.

Have a good day everyone. xx

lurking and resting my wings today....

Skinty, I'm glad you managed to rest your wings a bit yesterday. Your post last night sounded so much happier than the previous one. I know you've got lots on your mind, but please promise that you will take things steadily this week and next.

Many congratulations to mummyroysof5 on your new job for next term:T
Hope your first session at your new job went well, JTTOU.
LW, have a fistful of spoons for your appointment with the new Dr.
Thanks for the photos, Natty. I'm not growing veg here, but your pop-up cage looks excellent.
FBO, I am holding fluffy mules in reserve, just in case I need to throw one at you :p
Honey Bear, I think the answer to your question about RoDs is "at least as many rooms as there are in the house" - and large cupboards count as rooms :rotfl:

Last night as it got dark I finished digging over the back garden borders and spreading out the last 3 bags of manure. DH has done some more undercoating and glossing in the utility - he seems to have finally realised that I'm on a mission to get things finished by Easter. So today's list includes
    - design an arbour (made from tanalised posts and trellis panels)
    - help OJM put up old trellis from front in back garden
    - encourage DH to get on with more painting
    - plant the bluebells that I have dug up from the front of the flowerbeds at the back: most won't flower this year after being disturbed, but they should look pretty next spring
    - start planting out the hellebores and other things in pots and plastic bags :D
    - enjoy the birds (blackbird has been singing his heart out for the past half hour) :D
    - vote at the U3A AGM for DH to go on the committee :D
    - HHI this evening
    - email my friend with train times
    - send card to my goddaughter
    - check birthdays in April and write cards to post or pre-order emailed cards

Hope everyone has a good day. Newbies, don't think you've got to complete the lists every day, but be happy with whatever you can achieve. My personal list for today is testimony to that :rotfl:

    Morning all.

Can someone find the remote & pause today so I can get things done please?!? Managed to get gifts for my nephew, and some hair dye stripper (and a more closer to my natural semi-permanent hair dye for afterwards) and looked at birthday banners/wrapping paper/cakes with DD, then picked up a box of muffins for her to take into school for her friends tomorrow instead of birthday cake :) Thanks to our LEA setting the first 2 full weeks of April as "Spring break" DD will never be in school for her birthday again so I don't mind her taking something in to share with her friends ;)

    Todays plan:
    • write a comprehensive list of what I want to get from Mr A (banners, cake, balloons, magic candles, Easter egg for DDs friend who bought her one & also got her a Christmas gift, bankers box set if there's any left) then go for it.,
    • get books prepared ready for DD to put out tonight while I make deliveries (need to buy a new glue stick for sticking notes on if I can't find one in DD's room),
    • Check on an items availability for a customer
    • Work out how much its going to cost to put right a problem for another customer.
    • Organise something proper for tea (had chippy last night, and will be having take out Saturday for DDs birthday so should really eat something proper tonight :rotfl: )
    • Update my accounts (Chq for school, card payments)
    • Watch the last season of Will & Grace on @mazon instant while working so I can cancel the subscription and save £6 a month ;)
    • Write my list of things I need to do tomorrow (bank, Ag3UK, card shop for DD's birthday card :o) as it needs to be done in the morning as DD finishes at 12 tomorrow!
    • Sort out paying in book for tomorrow, after work.
    • Update work accounts, after work,
    • Find £5, after work, to give to DD for lunch tomorrow as a reward for almost 100% attendance. ;) She's only had 1 week off under doctors orders so I'm allowing that :rotfl: only adding this as I'll forget otherwise :o
    • Crawl into bed and try to sleep while I remember all the things I should be/have done :o
I should really move myself. It sounds like its nearly all list making & little jobs when its written down, but some of them are just time consuming and Mr A is like another time zone. I go in expecting to spend about 20mins getting what I need and I'll come out 90min+ later!!
