Congrats Mummy3
LW - hope it goes well tomorrow.
Off for a brief trip for work stuff and then on to Mr A. DD has just taken nearly 2 hours to have a "quick bath" This means we're now going out nearly an hour later than I wanted to. But at least the weather is dry for now. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
LW sending you strength for tomorrow, I'll be with you in spirit

At Easter I am going to play with my 'new' sewing machine and make cushions...I hope.
They weren't kidding about the air quality *wheeze*
Been SO busy today BUT I have run my last after schoool club WOOT as I am 'minding' the choir for the village performance on a fortnightly basis. I only had six attendees anyway - and a couple were leaving so best decision I feel.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I recently made some pretty impressive cushion covers on a basic sewing machine and I hadn't done any sewing since school. When you say 'hope' are you worried about sewing machine, skill, pattern or time?0 -
Time - and also I need to buy new needles for the machine I was gifted. I have a mental picture of the cushions I will make. And I am not a fabulous sewer. But I do enjoy having a go and we shall see...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Hmm can't help with time! I made envelope cushions but used buttons for decoration rather than have to make button holes.
I just bought some needles off eBay for £2.36 including postage and they came quick (got to be cheaper than going out to get them) - I'm expecting to break one or two when I try sewing the denim I just got fresh!0 -
Ionafan last week you asked me what these were for, sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you.. The cage is to cover our veg plot. It's called a "pop up" cover - and basically it stops butterfly and birds getting to our crops. Very efficient.
This one is my gorse bush - rather like the ones you see at the side of motorways except a bit more refined.Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

My carpet looks pretty good. But now smells like wet dog (I don't have a dog. I guess that's because I didn't get the extractor fan working.0
